If your Dc07 is all floors it will have A clutch fitted this is easy to determine just stand in front of your machine look down at the left hand side there will be a coloured knob on the side e.g. blue.yellow, green, purple this will have a pointer on it which when you pull handle back to vacuum must move to drive position you can rotate it by hand if it is stuck in park position ,
If there is no belts broken the brushes will now turn.
If they don’t the chances are one of the 2 belts have snapped.
You will then need Manuals to help you repair the problem.

There is an on/off switch RIGHT NEXT TO THE MAIN ON OFF for JUST the beater bar. It is not highlighted in the manual.
Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

If you can turn the beater by hand(when unplugged) and its easy to turn then it's the drive belt, they do not take long to burn through, and leave a horrid burning rudder smell as a clue.If its hard to turn you have jamed a piece oof lace in it.
