If you antivirus software can't detect the virus, try start scannin. In any case scanning is a good solution. It will detect virus and remove it.

Try a hard shut down by holding power button down till computer shuts off. if this doesn't work unplug from power source and see if you can reboot. of can't reboot. may have problem with mother board. this then goes beyond my scope.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My netbook has this anti virus thaat has just apeared and wont let me open anything :/ please can someone help its a mitac i dont know the model

Chances are that a virus scanner that just 'appeared' is either a virus itself or malware.
The first thing I would do is go to http://www.malwarebytes.org and download the latest version of their software. If you cannot do this from you PC, you may have to do it from another computer.
Once you have it downloaded to the problem computer, install it and let it check for updates.
Once this is done, reboot the computer, but hit F8 at while its starting up. This should bring up a menu that you can select Safe Mode from.
Boot the computer into Safe Mode, login and run MalwareBytes.
Select a full scan of the computer (I've this take an hour or more).
When it finishes it should find the problem and ask your what to do about it. I believe the best option is to quarantine or remove the file the that is infected.
Good Luck!!

HELP!!! i have a virus and its file name is a2ne6iefh.exe , it has taken over my computer , the only way i can access anything is with task manager on the user account that is on my computer so i dont have...

I don't know if you have done this already but you could try restoring your computer to an earlier period, before you started experiencing this virus. What version of windows are you using and do you currently use an anti virus product on your system? I personally would recommend Norton 360 which is the product I use. That aside, if you can't do anything whilst on the main desktop screen then you could try rebooting and pressing F8 in order to access the Advanced Options menu. From here you can choose to boot up into what's called Safe Mode. This will boot your computer with a minimum configuration including basic device drivers as well as basic video graphics. If you access Safe Mode hopefully the virus is not present in this mode and this will enable you to do certain things like restoring your computer to an earlier date from here. You can also try and install antivirus software if you have the original disk in this mode, that's if you're not using an antivirus product at the moment. If you were unable to do anything then the worst case scenario would be to restore your system completely and reinstall windows using your original windows disk if you have it. This would give your system a clean start but obviously you would have to begin over, getting the updates from the microsoft site and so forth. This would take a while but not overly long, I would say two to three hours. If you don't have the original disks then you could perhaps try contact your computer's manufacturer and asking them to send you all the original disks that go with your particular brand of computer. The ease of this all depends on how old your computer is. I don't know if this is much help to you but I'm willing to carry out further research on your behalf if you provide following details:

Windows Operating system you use.
Make and model of your particular computer.
How old? number of years you had computer.

Good luck, sorry I'm not much help otherwise.

Here is my problem. my wife was googling images yesterday. when she clicked on the see full size image, it did not take her to the image. insted it redirected to another page and unleashed a nasty virus on...

Yah, sure, blame the wife. :-)

Download the free "Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool" from http://support.microsoft.com

It can remove that "System Pro" trojan.

Then, access: http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft
to get _QUALITY_ anti-virus software, which should have detected and blocked whatever was downloaded, before it did any damage.

But, "best practises" say that you need to "flatten-and-rebuild" your computer, because you can _NEVER_ be sure that you have 100% removed any computer-virus.

My laptop is rebooting automatically

Try to start your computer in safe mode and uninstall your last installation of antivirus then try again. Make sure your computer is not set to automatically reboot after any updates or anything. These settings should be in your anti-virus software

My computer is rebooting over an over ....dont have time to do anything....now i open my computer on safe ....mode what should i do??? i have window xp

If your computer fully loads Windows, than starts a restard process you are looking at having an annoying virus. Since there are several different viruses that can cause this problem, if this is the reason for the restarting, you would be best off loading Windows in safe mode (using the F8 key before Windows starts to load will give you a menu with options like SAFE MODE) and than trying to scan it for viruses.

If your computer doesn't actually load Windows, but restarts after the Windows loading screen, you could have a corrupt driver causing Windows to restart. If your computer were slow, you would see the error message, faster computers go through the error screen too fast. The best way to determine this would be to start in SAFE MODE and see if the same problem exists.

Let me know what happens after you start in SAFE MODE. 6 Pts Rate Answer

yup... you put a corrupted file on mp3 player... and now mp3 player complains that something is corrupted. It's all the virus's fault. o.O

Reformat your MP3 player.
