Why does my computer say my computer has been backdated.

Backdating the Computer If you receive the message below it means that your computer date has been changed to a point in the past. Either the date was set forward and you just fixed it, or it was set correctly and you just moved it back. In both cases you will receive the following message:backdating.png
Express is designed to protect against backdating, as it causes major database integrity errors. If you received the above error, you should:
  • Move the computer date to today's date, or
  • Keep the computer date as today, restore your database to the backup made on what the computer thought was today's date, and re-enter all transactions and changes made in the database between the date that the computer thought was today (probably yesterday or the day before) through current.
For example, if today is August 23 and you discover that the computer thinks it's August 24, you will need to fix the computer date, restore the database to the one made on "August 23," (which is actually August 22) and put in all the transactions that happened between the time the backup was made on August 22 and right now.

Acer keyboard is not working. some key along with the enter key is not working.

I suggest you (click >>) remove the keyboard, use a toothbrush on the "contact" point on the ribbon cable just below the yellow arrow click here, sometimes they oxidize.

removal then just refitting has been known to cure!

if not new keyboard should be cheap enough.

hope this helps

Hi ebonybesh...

You will need to start your computer in the "Safe Mode", you do this by tapping F8 while the computer is starting up.
Once the computer has started, select "Safe Mode"
Once you are in the safe mode, then you will double left click on "Start">Control Panel>User Accounts>Change an Account.
Now you can change your password, delete the account, etc.

My dell inspiration 910 has just played up. it was working perfectly before and i was using dell speakers and my ipod, ipod was removed, and left it still pluged in and charging and noticed the orange...

This sound as though the power supply adapter needs replacement.
If you can find a compatible power supply adapter perhaps you can charge you laptop.
A company call Batteries Plus may be able to help or Ebay may have you adapter power supply if you do a search.
You may also contact Dell for support on this issue.
Some Dell power supply fail due to overheating.
you may also want to check the power supply connector.

Computer immediately shuts down upon starting had the computer on earlier today shut down in stand-by mode. later I tried to restart the computer and once it got to the main screen with the icons shown it...

Ok Take out the battery and leave it out for about an hour. IN the time its out Run the laptop on AC power and then go to control panel, open power options, and remove the hibernation check, and the turn the system standby to never, then hit apply. Then turn you laptop off and re insert the battery. If you still get the shutdown where it wont run on battery, then you need to replace the battery.

Computer powers down on its own

Good afternoon, smarx and welcome!

You might want to check the lid switch to verify that it is working correctly. These things do go bad or can become sticky.

Hope this is of some help, and have a good day.

Any ideas?

If you removed the battery. Theres a possibility that the battery may have been loose or poorly connected.
I,d suggest ensuring a full battery charge. And always start-booting the computer with the AC Adapter connected.
After doing this, check that the F keys are clean, as you may have a sticky key. Usually F5-F6 Or F7 which would attempt to boot to VGA/LCD or vice-versa. The other possibility is That the RAM Is not seated correctly.
