Question about 3Com OfficeConnect Router
I have configured my OfficeConnect ADSL Wireless Firewall Router to work with my 5 static IP addresses and everything seems okay, but the web admin screen is available to the world on the first IP address. I hoped it would only make it available to my other static IPs. Should I be worried? Or is there a way round this issue? All the instructions in the manual seem to be aimed at NAT setups.
I'm not sure how 3 com routers work but I work with Linksys equipment and Actiontec a lot. Their systems have a toggle in the admin setup to disable remote access. If that is turned off and the admin needs a password to get into it, you should be fine.
