Siemens full-integrated Dishwasher SE65E330EU: Dispenser cup opens after 10 sec

By Berimor on Aug 05, 2008

" "
Suddenly above mentioned machine start to open dispenser cup after 10 sec after started instead of number of minutes. Even more when cycle is ended (lamp END light) dispenser could not be closed manually . Only after switching it off - dispenser cup could be closed. My understanding that control unit puts voltage to vax (or bimet) engine immediatly after powered on, but not according to the cycle. Does it mean control unit is dead ? Any advices

If you are using a quick wash the dispenser will open to release detergent shortly after the wash has begun.

The wax motor should cycle twice for any given wash. The first is to release the detergent and the second is to release the rinse agent.

If you do not see the wax motor cycle hapening twice than the condition that you are describing does indicate that there may be a fault with the control panel. Specifically there may be constant power to the wax motor part of the circuit(older models use a relay(inside of the control box) for the control and would sometimes get stuck).

- NOTE: You can only see the wax motor moving with the door panel removed. Be careful there is live circuits under the door panel.
