This is a Cabrio I take it. If you can tilt the washer back against the wall and look up from the bottom. On the
left hand side of the cabinet there should be a tech sheet. That is where you will find that code listed. Kinda
hard to get to, but you don't want to get to it the other way. It can be a pain if you've never seen it done.
I believe however this has something to do with the hot water. Make sure your washer is getting hot water.
If it is try unplugging the unit for awhile then try it again. If it persists the sensor is bad or the board is bad.
And with Cabrios chances are good it's the board...hope this helps.

What is a flashing F23 Error

blank.gif F23 Pressure switch failure Should the main electronic control unit detect that the wash level contact (or level) is on and the switch level for wash heater safety is off for any more than ten seconds during a wash this error code will be displayed.
Resetting the program may clear this error but unlikely.
  • Check the pressure switch or sensor for operation and electrically
  • Check the wiring from the main electronic control card to the level sensor
  • Check all connectors between the main controller and pressure switch
  • Run test program
  • Also see F08 and F12 as heater failure can cause this error to occur

In the middle of a load my washer will stop and starts flashing F23? It is a whirlpool duet steam.

Hi, F23 means that there is a fault in the heating circuit and the heater is not working This fault is triggered if the water fails to rise by 30C or 86F in the first 8 minutes of the heating process.

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check the connections to water heater.
3. Check resistance and continuity of the heating element.
4. Check the water temperature sensor and connections to it.
5. Check the water temperature sensor and connection to it.

I have a siemens WM14S794GB washing machine and F23 is flashing

F:23 means that your machine is leaking and should be repaired. This is often a bad seal and if you are competent or know a friend who is they can inspect the source of the leak for you. Needless to say you should make sure that you unplug your machine before attempting any repairs.

Hope this helps you.

Code f23 for whirlpool washing machine

Hi,
It means that there is a fault in the heating circuit and the heater is not working

The listed site deals with this problem so take a look and if you are fully capable of testing, follow the troubleshooting instructions but always double check that the unit is unplugged or disconnected from the electrical supply.

http://www.assuredparts.com/WhirlpoolDuetWasherFaultCodes.html

And remember kindergarten rule #1 "If in doubt, don't" with everything that is potentially dangerous. Electricity kills so a service repair bill may be a better solution.

Hope this helps.
