There is a clicking behind the metal panel on the back of the unit. Kind of like a rhythmic clucking.

Its the relay for the lights,if they strobe or flash rapidly and the readout in the unit is out,it is this relay trying to latch,it can be from a light bulb burning out and it destroys the motherboard/mainboard behind this metal panel where you're hearing this clicking sound,but a word of caution,make sure all the fans work in the unit as in condenser and evaporator fans because if it was caused by either one of these fans being short circuited it will destroy the new mainboard immediately,the g.e. part number for this board is WR55X10942 and are $100.00 plus

The only cause of clunking I can think of is the turntable motor not engaging the drive spindle of the platter properly. Remove the platter and see if the noise goes away.

The eco light is flashing constantly on my Dishlex Global 300 dishwasher, it is making a noise like a pump is running continously, but the unit will not operate. Can you give me some possible faults and...

Hi,

The symptoms on a Dishlex Global 300 dishwasher:
  • eco light is flashing constantly;
  • noise on pump running continuously;
  • but the unit will not operate.
Possible corrective actions include:
  • water level - pls check incoming water pressure, filter, water level sensor, water valve;
  • base/bottom overflow sensor - there is a float switch in the base of the machine inside a small plastic dish. Behind the kick panel, access through a metal lid/panel/cover secured by 2 small screws. Dry completely the area;
  • Air/dry/ventilate the unit/system for a couple of days;
  • reduce incoming water pressure.
Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

"I hear and feel "Clucking noises when I drive me

If it is clucking then someone has hidden some chickens in your trunk, open it and let them out. If it is clunking then I would suspect rubber bushings on any of the several suspension components have reached the end of their life and metal is banging into metal as the suspension moves up and down.
You need to take it to an alignment shop and have them give you a list of what is worn out. Consider replacing those parts and getting it aligned. If the clunking is reserved only to times when you shift from D to R and back, then I would suspect U joints and CV joints in the axles. If it is reserved to times when you are turning, check the CV joints and wheel bearings. Everything on the car is 14 years old and each part will eventually fail from use and age.

Yamaha Receiver RX-V3800 Rear Left surround click sound

It's possible it is some sort of interference pickup, but another possible I've come across a number of times on Yamahas is poor earth connections via the back panel.

All the circuit boards have earth connections on them and the screws holding them to the back panel form an earth bonding connection. Tighten all the screws on the back to eliminate this possibility. Costs nothing to try and may just solve it.

Clicking noise from unit and frezzer temperature to warm, like the defrost mode is always on

Hi the problem is the relay/overload. Pull the unit out from the wall and remove the panel at the back. Then on the side of the compressor you will see the relay normally behind a cover held in place by a metal clip. Pull the clip and cover off then pull the wire harness out. You can now pull the relay off the compressor and replace it. Mike

I am trying to clean behind the bottom panel on the front side of the dryer. I cannot get the panel off.

depending on what kind it is some have two screws hoding a small panel on at the bottom, but most dryers between the top and the front panel thre are two clips you use a butter knife or a thin screw driver push these in if no other screws holdig the top tilt it back, then you have two metal screws on the inside take out and lift out the front panel.

Whirpool electric oven replacing bake element

In addition to what aborcass stated, I just had to fix the same problem. Remeber to turn off the power before you do this. On my stove the element acess is behind the side panel (right side when facing the stove). You remove two screws on the back and one underneath at the bottom, (you need to pull out the drawer). Once screws are out, slide the side panel forward gently about an inch and it should just drop off.
You should see the wires for the element level with the bottom of the stove. The wires will guide you to the element. And you should see that the element is screwed in with two screws to the stove. This is the tricky bit, to remove the element follow the metal piece holding the element to the right until you see a third screw. Remove this screw and the whole thing will come out. Take off the wires, replace the element on the metal strip, slide the element and metal strip back into the stove (take care to ensure the left side of the metal strip slides into the proper position under the metal clasp. Re-attach the screw, plug the wires onto the element and turn the power back on. You should have heat.
Good luck.
