SOURCE: Brand new machine unbalanced (really

oh yea sounds like there still in there alright!!!, tip the unit back if possible and give a look underneath, you see2 or 3( depending on model) plastic tubes approx 2in long mounted to the under carriage around the base. They are there for the sole purpose of "catching" the cotter pins after pulling the rip cord. there should be a cotter pin in each of the tubes. if you see any empty ones look directly above it and youll find the pin, you may have to manually grab the cotter pin to release it withe a set of needle nose pliers or something but the definitely need to be removed.

SOURCE: Im installing the drivers side window regulator.

I normally use needle nose pliers or a flat blade screwdriver to help push them in, you also might have to adjust the window up and down to make sure they can slide in freely, good luck

SOURCE: Cotter pin removal

That is called a C clip. use a small flat blade screw driver to back it off the shaft in one of the dimples on either side of the center.

Shift cable won't stay attached to transmission

As far as the shifter cable not staying attached to the ******, (AT), My solution was to shave the plastic end thinner so it will go further on the shifter rod. This will allow room for a washer and cotter pin to be attached to the rod. (holding the shifter cable in place. It's easier to remove the shifter arm as you will need to drill a small hole for the cotter pin. This is the cheapest solution that works. The shifter cable is over $40 and a headache to install. Hope this helps.

How do you replace burners on Jenn-air 720-0337

First, remove the grill grates, then the flame tamers to access the burners. As you face the grill, carefully lift up the end of the burner farthest from you (It may or may not have a cotter pin holding it in. If it does, remove the cotter pin with a pair of needle nose pliers). As you lift it up, it should pull away from the burner orifice (inside the control panel). And that's all there is to it.To reinstall the burner, do everything in reverse. But, there is no need to replace the cotter pin. It was there for shipping purposes.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Happy Grilling!!

How do you remove the burners so I can clean out the gas ports?

The fairly simple to remove. Turn OFF the gas, Remove the cooking grates and flame deflectors to access the burners. On the end of the burner, farthest from you, underneath the burner there is a Cotter Pin. Remove it with a screwdriver of needle nose pliers. Once the pin is removed, lift that burner end up and away from you and the burner will clear the grill.

Hope this helped you.

I have an Allis -Chalmers 416 tractor with mower deck I need to know how to install the deck (I have lost the manual) It is an older model serial number 26002395 Can you help

There are 2 holes at the front on the frame you need to put a pin and cotter pin through each side to hold the front of the mower. Then there will be a hangin piece of straight metal about 2-3 inches long with a hole in it that you need to hook up the chain to also with a pin with a hole in it and a cotter pin. This will allow you to raise and lower the deck with the electric lift. If you need pics let me know i'd be happy to help. That's all there is to it besides putting the belt on.

I'm trying to replace a clutch cable in a '90 subbie legacy. The manual says nothing about removing the cable from the metal bracket that holds it inside the drivers compartment well.. it only says to...

It is not a cotter pin. It us a pin with a clip. Get a screwdriver or blade behind the clip to push it off. The clip is #16 in the pic. Make sure to use a new clip to install the cable.

How do you replace a burner on a ducane gas grill

Hello : Here are two solutions , just look which one of them is the most helpful .

  1. Turn off the gas supply and bleed the lines leading to the grill. Remove the gas tank if possible.
  2. Open the grill and remove the grates. In some cases you will need to
detach the hoses from under the grill using simple hand tools. Other grills may have simple "float in" style of burner. These styles look as if the tubes from the burner leading to the gas supply lines simply "float" into each other. Look for clamps of holders that may need to be removed.
  3. Remove the damaged burner and remove from grill. Take a moment to inspect the other burners and any other hoses in case you need to replace more than one piece. Place the burner in a plastic bag and take it to the home store so you can get the exact parts you need. This removes all guess work.
  4. Before replacing the burner/burners etc, take a moment to clean any material, grease etc from the bottom of the grill. Replace the burners and hoses as needed. Check the connections before reconnecting the gas supply. Turn the gas on and start to flow of gas to the burners without lighting the grill. Make sure the flow is working. Be sure to turn the gas off, let the fuel dissipate before lighting.
  5. With everything working, fire up the grill and enjoy.

Or try these help here :

  1. Turn off the gas supply valve on the tank. Remove the fuel line from the fuel tank by turning the connection nut counter-clockwise with your hand.
  2. Open the Char-Broil gas grill and remove the main cooking grate. You do not need to remove the upper warming racks to change the burners.
  3. Remove the lava rocks from the grill and pull the rock grate out. Unhook the flame spreader from each end where the spreader attaches to the inside body of the grill. The spreader is the angled piece that sits over the burner.
  4. Locate the cotter pin that secures the front of the burner to the grill body. Remove the cotter pin with a pair of needle nose pliers. Lift the burner up and pull the burner venturi tubes out of the gas valve.
  5. Set the new burner inside the grill with the venturi tubes inside the gas valve opening. Install the cotter pin to secure the burner to the grill body. Place the flame spreader back inside the grill and hook the ends to the grill body.
  6. Place the rock grate, lava rocks and cooking grate back inside the grill. Reattach the fuel line to the fuel tank.
Here you need Needle nose pliers.

Please report me which one helped the most .

good luck .

and rate if useful please !

1991 Honda Accord - Cannot get the axel nut on the wheel to loosen. Is it reverse thread or do I just need more man power?

Did you remove the cotter pin? If so, you will need more manpower. Should not be reverse thread..........lefty loosey, righty tighty!

Torque specs needed

on a 1999 Honda Accord, the torque for the front axle nut is 181 ft lbs. For the most part, sung it up and then go a bit further. If you are reusing the old axle nut, tighten it until the stake mark on the nut lines up with the notch in the axle (make sure to re-stake it). check out alldata.com/diy for individual vehicle subscriptions which have all the repair info you will ever need. If you had the steering knuckle out, tighten the balljoint nuts on the upper and lower control arms until they are tight and then tighten until the hole lines up to recieve the cotter pin.
