Hi jtercotte many thanks for the quick reply,Just one further question,
am I correct in thinking that this arrangement requires two seperate power supplies
or am i misreading your diagram ?? Many thanks again Great help so far

Hi, that depends on the motor power supply you are using. The relay coil runs on 6 VDC. If you can pull a 6VDC signal from the motor power supply, then you can get by with the one source. Can you tell me about the motor power supply, or have you not selected one yet? If the power supply has a higher DC output, it may be a simple matter of using a resistor inline to the switch to allow it to power the relay coil without burning it up.

Why would my belt on the Proform 730 si begin to run backwards? Does anyone know the fix for this issue?

Hi,
If it was running in the proper direction before suddenly changing the direction then the motor control board is faulty. If it was happened after some service inside then the connection of the motor is reversed unknowingly. If so reverse the connection of the motor. As its a DC motor it will change the direction when the applied DC voltage reversed.

Hobart slicer 2912. The slicer works fine on manual but the automatic mode has stopped working. thinking it may be the motor but not sure,,, any idea on how to identify the part that needs changing?

HI. Have you tried checking if you can hear the motor is rotating. There are actually gears connecting the motor to the blade. The motor on it is just a dc motor.voltage usually ranges from 20 to 50 volts dc.If you can removed the cover and check if the motor is rotating while the unit is plugged on though this is not advisable to do this but for the sake of observation and making sure that while doing this you haven't touched any of its auxillary parts.Try to check how the gears are moving..Hope this helps.Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

Have a 1992 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Tailgate window motor problem

I looked at my schematics, and they don't show a relay. They do, however, show two ground wires coming out of the tailgate window switch. There is a ground wire for the "up" side of the switch, and a ground wire for the "down"side. These would be color-coded black, and I think that it is worth checking to make sure you don't have a corroded /broken ground running from the tailgate switch. If only one grounding wire was broken, the window would operate in only one direction. Both dash and tailgate switches share the same wiring circuit, and these wires are "hot" all the time. It's normal when you get both sides of the motor leads at 12VDC when neither switch is activated. These switches function by switching off one of the two motor leads, and connecting it to ground, thus allowing power to flow thru the motor windings. Of course, reversing the polarity on a DC motor will change the direction of rotation, so changing which black lead is switched to ground gives the up or down direction to the motor.. since you can read schematics, you might check out ebay for a used Haynes manual cheap. hope this helps

NO: Replace the DC controller PCB. Usually E 051 is the horizonal motor problem, you can take out the pick up ***'y. On the motor have a small gear, sometime this gear broken.
Or the horizontal reg motor became stuck in the wrong position. I was able to manually move it back and rebooted copier. Not sure why the motor was in the wrong position-cust related?
