Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others

1 Answer

My Cal Pond Light timer is mounted and plugged in and has a setting to both set the time and set the time for the lights in the fish pond to come on. I was able to set the time, but can't figure out how to set the start time or the off time.

Many Thanks.....It worked. Mine was a smaller, cheaper, version, but the settings were identical. I appreciate your help. It saved me a lot of time.

Here is a link to a page describing the programming procedure for one model of Cal Pump timer control unit. Hopefully the procedure is similar enough to yours to be of some use.

http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=10452

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

When you get there, click on the MORE INFORMATION tab near the middle of the screen and you will see the step by step list of timer programming instructions.

Thank you and good luck.

My pond water is very green

Hi toffeegirl1
The green color of your water is due to a high concentration of Algae.
If you have no fish in your pond, you can use some bleach (depending on the size of your pond, use about 2 caps full per 30 gallons) to kill the algae.
If you have fish in your pond, DO NOT USE BLEACH as it will kill your fish.
Please take time to rate me

The jacuzzi magnum force pump can it be used for a fish pond

This is a lot of pump for a fish pond. You should use the safe-guards as you would find in a pool, two drain's separated by 3 or so feet and/or a couple skimmers. You dont want the fish getting pulled into the drains/skimmers. It will also be a lot of $ to run the pump compared to a smaller 'fish pond' pump ... of course your pond may be much larger than the average garden variety.

Personally, I dont think this is a good idea for a small pond. Tell me more about your pond.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com
