Hi again,

Were you able to get my other post? It is actually a continuation of our chat.

Would appreciate if you could update here as to the developments with your hard disk.

Cheers.

For got password to login in how do i fix this

brendapace3,
What are you trying to login into? Your Windows computer or a website?

If you are trying to log into your computer and forgot the password.
Try starting in Safe Mode, by restarting the computer, and as soon as you see the Computers Manufacturers logo start pressing F8 on the keyboard. Select Safe Mode from the options (usually option 3). When it loads select the Administrator account (unless you set a password when you installed your operatinsg system, this should not have a password set. Leave the password field blank and log in. Once logged in, go into Control Panel, Select user accounts and remove or change the password for your user account. Save changes. Exit control panel and Restart the computer.

If you forgot the password for a website, most sites have a Forgot Password or Need assistance with Logging in link. That link is usually under the login boxes.

Hope this helps

Hi Elaine, Sorry to hear about your computer problem. I will make it very easy for you to resolve this issue. Reboot the computer. As soon as the computer starts, press the F8 button. This will bring you into safe mode. Once you are in safe mode, select " last good known configuration". Let me know the outcome or if you need additional help. Thanks, Mike

My computer will not open in windows, not with safe mode or anything else. just a black screen saying sorry etc and a few options (I've) tried them all nothing is working. It was fine last night

hi,

if you have a cd/disk in the rom or dvd drives try taking those out and rebooting, I fixed mine once that way just by doing that. Might want to open it up and check all the connections. If you bought that machine new it may have come with an original OS disk and you can try that, but my advice and probably your best bet would be to call and get some estimates and take it in. You might be in luck and the CPU might have went and not the hard drive, therefore all your data will be recoverable.

sorry

J
