Offer some light to the screen as...it might just be the inverter if you lucky look really closely at the screen close up and see if you can see a faint image...
Or even better still try and connect it to a external monitor and see if it boots up properly..if it does then it looks like the inverter..or a lose wire from the motherboard to the screen.
Cheap enough on ebay,and easy to replace,..
If it doesn,t post on a external monitor,it may be a issue with the graphics card...if so..then google your make and model and see if the graphics card is onboard or a separate card...if its separate then it can be replaced quite easy if you have the experience..
If it,s onboard then you will have to take it to some1 who can maybe reflow that part of the board as it may be a weak solder joint,or replace the graphics chip
