Try to set up the SMS settings. For example, of you're from T-Mobile you can go to this site for you to receive the settings http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=home&cat=SOFTWAREDOWNLOADS&pcateg=HELPANDADVICE
If same thing happens, it only means that there's a problem with the phone since your sim card works from a different phone. If you're still under warranty contact you can have it repaired/ replace for free.

My Nokia 5800 just wont send messages. Whenever I try to send it, it will go to my outbox and say resend over and over.

May be your Message Service Centre number is wrong.
So please check your Message Service Centre number from your friend or family
that are also using same SIM service like Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Bsnl. Correct it or edit your previous number to a new one. Hope it may be helpful to you.
Thanks for Using FixYa All the Best!

Any text message i send goes to the out box and is either resending (to no avail) or listed as failed. I got the phone 3 days ago. It is a work phone with telstra. Nokia C%

The problem might be with "Message Center Number" which is different for different service providers.

You should call you service provider "Telstra" and ask them that number. You can then enter it in your mobile as mentioned below.

(Please rate the solution if helpful, Thank you)

Press "Menu"
Scroll to Messaging, press "Open"
Press "Options", scroll to Settings, press "Select"
Scroll to Text message, press "Open"
Scroll to Message centres, press "Open"
Scroll to SIM message centre, press "Open"
Scroll to Message centre name, press "Change"
Enter (your provider's name), press "OK"
Scroll to Message centre number, press "Change"
Enter (number provided), press "OK"
Press "Back" twice
Scroll to Message centre in use, press "Change"
Scroll to (provider's name you entered), press "OK".

I can't send a message. It is just stored on the outbox and just resending. Any sim can't also do.

Hi,

You cannot send messages because the message centre number stored in your mobile may be wrong.

Please enter the correct message centre number. To get the correct message centre number please call your service provider and they will provide you the number.

Please Don't be a foolish guys thats not a solution! in this case he wanted to fix it by its self, not by contacting the costumer service. so the solution is try to delete all messages from inbox and outbox, then try to send a new message and voila it is working

CANT SEND MESSAGES

Your phone is fine.

You need a new sim.

Older sims aren't up to the demands of newer handsets anymore so they brought out more powerful and higher voltage sims.

Go to your local mobile phone shop and explain your problem to them and they should be able to sort you out a new sim. :)

Unable to send texts from Nokia 6300, texts are stuck in outbox I was trying to find the area on the phone to see if the text phone number for 02 provider was correct but could not find it.

Hello dear friend,
You have to Go
>Open Messaging
>MESSAGE SETTINGS(it is in bottom of Messaging menu)
>TEXT MESSAGES
Then go to Message Centres and Check Your Providers Message center Number is Correct and Save it.(If there is No Mesage Centre Number, then u hav to add it by using ADD CENTRE feature}.
>Then go Back to Just previous menu 'Text messages'
>And there wil be "Msg.centre in Use"(open it)
>and select The SIM msg .centre number(if you entered any name instead of sim msg centre /presist any number there, then u hav to select it as containing the message centre number..)

This will clear your problem i think....

When i send a message atonce it gives the response "message sending failed." message is not sending from my mobile phones. please provide me solution to solve this problem.

Delete messages in sent items. It should work now..... If not make sure that message centr no. is the right one. Contact customer care if u dont know message centr no. If problem persists, use some other handset and try sending message. If message sending fails in other handsets too then priblem is related to SIM or network.Complain to the customer care.Wait for their response. If the network is OK,then the last option is to apply for replacement with a  new SIM .!!!

Unable to send text messages on my new nokia 5800

All you have to do is go to your message setting on your phone:
1. Open Messaging
2. On New message sellect options at bottom
3. Open settings
4. Open Text message, you should see: Message centre, message centre in use ect..
5. Open message centres this should go to next screen then open again, this screen should have : Message centre name & Message centre number (from your network provider you need to find out what is the message centres name & number are e.g in Australia it should be SMSC1 and number is +61411990001) then just manually enter these in there.
