Hello
Im guessing you have extracted the picture from ur cam to your PC? The most efficient way to do this would be to use a programme such as photoshop, which would allow you to cut out the exact image you want. If you dont have photoshop, a quick and cheap solution would be to use Paint which almost every standard PC will have, usually found under all programmes & accessories. Simply paint white around the coin and save the pic.
Hope this helps

Does new Us dollar coin not have In God We Trust?

Yes it does. Look at the edge of the coins (around the 'rim'). It is edge-incused: From WIkipedia - Incuse: Part of the coin's design that has been impressed below the surface (intaglio)

The edge-incused inscriptions found on the eight 2007 and 2008 Presidential $1 Coins (George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren) include the year of minting or issuance (2007 or 2008), E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST and the mint mark ("P", "D" or "S").
Beginning in 2009 with the William Henry Harrison $1 Coin, the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST moved to the coin's obverse (heads side), with the year of minting or issuance, E PLURIBUS UNUM and the mint mark remaining as edge-lettering.

How do you enlarge copies on the hp 8500 printer

From The HP 8500 Manual

TIP:You can also use Fit to Page to enlarge a small photo to fit within the

printable area of a full-size page. In order to do this without changing the

proportions of the original or cropping the edges, the device might leave an uneven
amount of white space around the edges of the paper.

I have a canon sd1200is. When I take a photo and look at the screen, the pic looks great. Plenty of space around the person. Then I get it developed at Walmart one hour and the person is so zoomed that...

Try getting the picture printed someplace else. Most likely it's getting cropped in the printing process.

You can also point this out to the staff at the Walmart and request that they not crop your photos.

How to get an undistorted picture without cropping. This is an Olevia, and it is not listed below.

I assume you have a wide screen tv? most TV show are broadcast in a square (4:3) format, on a wide screen television the screen is rectangular, so to fit the square picture on the rectangle screen you have to either crop the top and bottom, or stretch and distort the image. the only real solutions are either to watch everything in the 4:3 format (leaving the sides of your screen blank), or subscribe to HD which will broadcast most programs in a wide screen format with out distortion.

I'm taking exterior shots of a building using the auto mode. The roof comes out wavy. Have an appointment shortly to take more pics. Why is this happening? (I miss my old SLR ...)

Cameras are subject to some unusual conditions due to lenses being round and the image you take being square. They work better the closer you are to the center of the lens. Normally you don't see this, but when you take a picture of something long and straight and it's near the edge of your picture, it can come up wavy or crooked.

You can recompose to avoid long straight things near the edge, or you can take several pictures and stitch them together in Photoshop. This will let you get the roofline more near the center of several pictures, and then after you stitch you can crop to make the photo the way you want.

You're dead on about the SLR, though. SLR's have bigger and better lenses, and on digital SLR's, the sensors are much bigger. This gives them huge advantages in how they focus light, and overall it makes the near edge lens issues less noticable.

I have a 10" frame. The picture that I take with my digital camera is cropped by the frame. It seems to crop about an inch off the edges. How can I fix this. I can alter the picture if necessary.

Depends...
if it's during a slide show, then there's a slide show option "screen fit or fill".  If you are set to fill then it will cut off edges, change the setting to screen fit.

or if it is cutting off all 4 sides when displaying a single photo, you may have the zoom turned on.  Tap actions / zoom and set the zoom back to 1x.

Scanned 35mm slide comes out as rectangle with dark edges

I've not ever seen "square" 35mm slides. By definition they are a rectangular positive film in an outer square "mount".

If you have a truly square piece of film then it is not a 35mm slide. You may have to use settings other than those for a 35mm film but these would be I don't know.

When were they taken (approximately)? What brand of film? Are they in a cardboard "mount?
