How do i configure 4 computers using 1 router with an IP of 192.168.123.254 and a get away access point of 255.255.255.0

Actually your Gateway access IP is 192.168.123.254.

Configure all of your computers to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" -- these are normally the default settings.
25399292-y4qf0lasgxnzj1ojpooflrzx-2-0.jpg
As long as your router is configured for DHCP (normally on by default), simply plug your router into your modem, and plug your computers into your router. Your internet should be working from each computer after you login or restart each computer.

Set up wireless

Wireless Method:
  • Make sure your printer has wireless network adapters or a wireless router.
  • Power on the printer and wireless router.
  • Configure the printer to connect the wireless router.

--Enable the DHCP option on the printer. Obtain the IP address automatically.
--Configure the DHCP server of wireless router. Again, assign the IP address automatically.
  • Verify connectivity. Try doing some test prints. If it doesn't work, check the IP addresses.

Network Method:
  • Assign the printer to a wireless network. Go to "Start" and click on "Devices and Printers."
  • Click on "Add a printer".
  • Click on "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer."
  • Select the wireless printer from the list. Click "Next."
  • Allow Windows to successfully connect the printer. Again, click "Next."
  • Click "Finish" to complete the process. If you have multiple printers on your network, set this one as the default. Verify the connection by clicking "Print a test page."

How to turn on a dhcp on a rca model dcm425 cable modem?

Hi there,
Enabling DHCP at the Client To enable the Windows NT DHCP client, you must log on as administrator at the Windows NT client.

Normally, you enable DHCP as part of the installation procedure for Microsoft TCP/IP, however, you can use this procedure if you have manually configured TCP/IP:
  1. Run Control Panel and choose Network.

The Network Settings dialog box appears.
  2. Under Installed Network Software, select TCP/IP Protocol and then choose configure.

The TCP/IP configuration dialog box appears.
  3. Select Enable Automatic DHCP Configuration.

A Microsoft (MS) TCP/IP message appears, indicating that the DHCP Protocol attempts to configure the server automatically during system initialization.
  4. Choose Yes.

A MS TCP/IP Configuration dialog box appears, displaying current TCP/IP configuration parameters. The IP Address and Subnet Mask boxes are not available (grayed out) and the manually configured values are no longer displayed.
  5. Choose OK to return to the Network Settings dialog box.
  6. Choose OK again.
  7. Shut down and restart the computer.
To enable DHCP on a Windows for Workgroups client if TCP/IP is not installed yet:
  1. Use Network Setup to install the MS TCP/IP-32 3.11 protocol.
  2. In the MS TCP/IP Configuration dialog box, select the Enable Automatic DHCP Configuration check box, and choose Continue.
  3. Restart the computer to initialize TCP/IP using DHCP.
To enable DHCP on a Windows for Workgroups client if TCP/IP is installed:
  1. To access the Network Drivers dialog box, run Network Setup.
  2. Select Microsoft TCP/IP-32 3.11, and then choose Setup.
  3. In the MS TCP/IP Configuration dialog box, select the Enable Automatic DHCP Configuration check box, and choose continue.

A message box appears indicating that the configuration of DHCP overrides any values established locally.
  4. Choose Yes.
  5. To initialize TCP/IP using DHCP information, restart the computer.

How do I change the IP configuration I installed a new network and need to change ip network from 192.168.1 to 192.168.0

Open network connections in control panel right click your adaptor and scroll down to properties and open then scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) highlight and click properties once you are in there you can manually configure your IP settings.
If you do not have it already manually configured you will need to add your default gateway and DNS server (subnet mask is automatic once you click in the box). You can find this information by opening command prompt (start/all programs/accessories) and type in ipconfig /all.

Could it be that your Ethernet card is configure to Static IP, rather than receiving an automatic IP from the router.

Networking imagerunner 2200

First, plug the printer into the network with an Ethernet cable. Then, go into the configuration page on the printer's display and print a configuration page. Look for the IP address. When you have that, go to the computers that need to connect to the printer. (Note that this tutorial is for Windows XP, I am not familiar with Vista but this should give you a basic overview.) Go to Start > Printers and Faxes. Click add a printer on the left hand side of the window. Select a Local printer attached to this computer, and unselect automatically detect. On the next page, click create a new port > TCP/IP port. Type in the IP address of the printer. Then choose the driver you are going to use, you should be able to find the IR 2200 driver under canon pretty easily. If not, go to canon.com and download their drivers. Once you do this, print a test page and it should print. You are then fully configured.

Please rate, Thanks!

No access to set up modem or router

you might have configured your lan settings wrongly.

If your modem was setup for DHCP then you configure your lan to receive IP address automatically, DNS automatically.

If DHCP is disabled on the modem, you have to USE static IP Address for your lan ip and default gateway should be your modem default ip.

the default IP for modem is usually 192.168.1.1
if DHCP is disabled on the modem the sys ip is 192.168.1.3

So Configure your LAN setting as follow and Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address url.

Lan Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

click ok.
and type the above url, press enter the modem will ask you for username and password.

Good Luck.
