you need to use something small to push the red pin right in, make sure there is nothing blocked in the roller and this should reset the motor. The roller needs to be switched on next to the power button is well.

More than likely the belt that drives the brush is broken. I have had this happen many times. The bottom cover should be held on by 3 or 4 screws. Remove the screws, check and replace the belt is necessary.
