I will assume your saying it wont recognise the HDD not the CD drive? If so the cleanup has removed the drive info from it. Whet i would is take that HDD out and plug into another PC as a secondary HDD and it should auto repair it. Ive done this dozens of times with loads of luck. But nothings guaranteed with computers. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

I want to know how to tell if my Dell D610 has the hardware for bluetooth

Nope...it seams that this model do not have any blue-tooth port ..but just a infrared data port ..so if you need to use blue-tooth on it you have to get a blue-tooth USB adapter ..and use it on the usb port ..

Seagat 500GB Portable GO external HDD not recognised on PC

first of all you should try it on deferent pc , if its ok then that leads us to insufficient power provided through usb ports , try using back usb ports not the ON-front, and if the problem still try using dual-usb cable like thishttp://www.cooldrives.com/usb-power-cable-mini-b.html and if the external hdd doesn't work at all it might be the usb controller board inside the hdd cage needs to be changed if you cant find a similar one you may buy a new empty cage

I HAVE LAPTOP IBM THINKPAD T30 AND I WANT TO CONNECT HARD DISK 80GB OR MORE

  • Supported HDD thickness:
    • 12.5 mm for systems without the touch pad
    • 9.5mm for systems with the touch pad
  • Standard 20GB, 40GB, 60GB HDD sizes.
    Note:
    • The 60GB HDD orderable as marketing option part number 08K9688 has a height of 12.5mm and will not fit in the HDD slot of the systems with the touch pad installed. For these systems, it is only supported via the ThinkPad 2nd HDD Adapter for the Ultrabay 2000.
    • The 60GB HDD orderable as replacement service part number 08K9833 is 9.5mm.
  • Supports one additional HDD which can be used concurrently to offer expanded storage utilizing the Ultrabay 2000
  • S.M.A.R.T technology to issue an alert if a hardware failure is pending
  • ATA Bus Interface
  • 4200 or 5400 rpm
  • Although you can upgrade the HDD, it is not designed to be removed and reinserted on a regular basis. Repeated and frequent removal, for purposes other than to upgrade for greater capacity, can cause damage to the system. The Ultrabay 2000 HDD adapter is designed to provide this flexibility with a second HDD in the Ultrabay 2000 IBM says. I say if the OS recognises it and so does the BIOS, you're good. good luck, hope this helps.-jmattes p.s. I found this info on: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-42218.html

Cant load xp onto sata HDD

To use XP with a SATA drive you'd need to use the HDD disc software first as XP didn't come with preloaded SATA drivers. This is what is preventing you from installing XP on the drive. Once the driver is loaded you should have no problem. If your new hdd didn't come with a disc then you can download it from the hdd manufacturers website under the support link. Hope this helps.

PS3 60GB

Try removing the HDD via the little door on the left side of your PS3? Try an boot without the HDD then see what happens? I am up to my second HDD after my first one caused similar problems (60GB model). I hope that this helps?
