Get problem U29 after replacing with ne drum, how do i reset?

How did you know those were bad? You had to have something to test them and that would tell you what to expect. I used google with this: Carrier HK50AA020 manual and got several hits.

Code C1468 Description Faulty EEPROM
EEPROM fault • Data cannot be written in EEPROM. • Data stored in EEPROM is wrong. Remedy 1 C1468 reappears when the copier is turned OFF and ON again. <Check Procedure> Turn OFF and ON the Power Switch to check to see if C1468 reappears. YES • Go to step 2. 2 Memory (U29) on Control Board (copier: PWB-C) is loose. YES • Reinstall memory (U29). NO • Change Control Board (copier: PWB-C).

Was the counters cleared first? for the drum and developer, has to be done because the machine uses the counters to tell the copier what voltages to apply to certain assemblies. If not done causes codes and image problems. That is also how the copier has a new drum and developer, after the drum and developer where replaced was Toner Density procedure run. And no prints copies or faxes where received after the developer was replaced and running the Toner Density procedure, and any did get ne developer and start again. Must disconnect network cable and fax cable before changing developer also.

What kind of dryer is this? I assume that this is a front-loading belt-driven drum dryer. What happens if you turn the drum by hand? If it turns freely, it could be that you have a broken belt. If there is some resistence to turning the drum, is it possible to turn the drum while trying to start the dryer (this may require pushing the interlock button and the start button at the same time you turn the drum)? If the dryer starts to work with a little push, the problem is most likely a capacitor on the motor. Otherwise your motor may be work out - worn brushes or bearings.

In the manual it will tell you how to reset the drum counter on Page 190 (DP-C265 manual). Reset all the different counters and that will likely clear the problem. A lot of sites want you to buy new drums at $170 a crack. I have reset mine 3 times already and still have perfect printing over 100,000 copies later.

you have priblem with your Toner Drum

tak out your Toner and thare will ne one durm which is colored that will be somany lines on that drum you have to change that drum

u 29 requires you to change drum unit, as this is a general instruction, the control panel would say which drum it is. there should be instructions in the front cover, if not there usually is supplied with the drum depending on your supplier, but yes one of the drums needs two be replaced.

cannot find u29 on any documents for the UK, where are you based?

the drum must not be touched when inserting into device, this releases a flag and the u29 code will still appear. try another drum where the "flag" at the rear is in it's correct position.
