Hi, This may sound odd but it can be done: I once rented/bought ( Can't remember which now) a standard dvd with a THX certification-of all things that played on my screen was a TEST pattern. If you could find something like that then you could pause playback and adjust to your hearts content! because thats what i did-a splendid replacement for a color wheel I thought. Oh by the way you get into most flat screen t.v.'s adjustments using the menu button, it would be under " PICTURE " good luck, iI hope this has been of some use. Let FixYa know if there is anything else we can do or if that did it. thanks, Prodzilla

What is the proper calibration settings for a panasonic tc-p50s2n. I have used it for over a 100 hours

Do you have access to a test pattern or color bar ? .If you have a THX certified DVD ( some Walt Disney movies ) it will have calibration setup guide in the DVD menu.Or else you have to buy a calibration DVD if you are serious about your TV setup.
First you have to set the contrast and brightness using the Grey-scale pattern. Seven set of vertical bars slowly progressing from white to black. If set right you should be able to make out all the seven bars with out each merging ( or overlapping ) into the other. You will be able to see the line of demarcation between each vertical bars. Then set the color to taste.
If you do not want to purchase the above mentioned DVD disc a close setup figure for your Panasonic TV would be
Picture Mode = Standard ( Normal )
Picture ( Contrast ) ---- 50
Brightness ---------------- 50
Color ------------------------ 33
Sharpness ---------------- 50
Hue ------------------------- In the middle
This setting should give you a decent picture quality assuming your TV is new.
