Honeywell Thermostat won't turn on

It was working just fine yesterday afternoon. But last night we noticed it felt warmer and when I went to turn it down, there was nothing on the display. We've checked the fuse box; nothing was tripped. We've popped the unit off the wall and put it back in - nothing. Ideas?

Not that I know of, but then I'm really bad with electronics and repair. The model is a T8411R102 if that helps.

Thermastat will not turn on. Was working fine and I went to turn temp down and it was off. No directions on how to trouble shoot.

There is a small automotive type of fuse in your air handler (not thermostat), check that. Also check to see if the Emergency Switch somehow got turned off (Usually found in stairwell or closet).

Check the water sensor in your drain piping if you have one. If it's sensing water backing up, it will blank that display.

Thanks to furcifer, that solved my problem. With that water sensor sensing water in the pipe, it shuts everything down. Thanks again.

It could need the 3 batteries replaced. I just did that and now it will come on but won't light up. Trying to solve that now.

I have a 9610 thermostat turns on and off to frequently

I am guessing but the thermostat is either faulty or is in conflict with another thermostatic device in the system. The room thermostat measures the air temperature in the room but with a modern intelligent boiler there will be other sensors measuring all sorts of things including the water temperature.

Personally I prefer to have thermostatic radiator valves rather than a room or zone thermostat.

My thermostat is set on 68 degrees and it shows room temperature is 68, but the furnace still kickson, Honeywell said it has a 1 degree difference. so what's the problem then?

Yes there is a one degree tolerance, in fact my heater just kicked on and it is set to 67 and the inside temperature reads 67. It is also a Honeywell.

Electric Furnace stopped running

You have one of two problems. Either the capacitor for the motor has failed or the motor has failed. I would turn off the power to the unit and see if you can locate the capacitor and remove it. An ac supply or electrical supply house can match up the capacitor. This is relatively inexpensive. Otherwise you will need a new motor.

My termost set to a/c, the fan auto, blow very well, but when I switch to heat and the fan auto, doesn't work, but if I put fan on work why?

the thermostat says to call for heat buildup in the work if its not cold enough the thermostat won't call for heat and I won't go on but when it gets cold and the thermostat set to the temperature you want or hire someone that doesn't cycle

Household steamer not heating at all

Well, first thing, just hook up service water and turn it on so the water heats up. Leave it long enough for water to get hot. If water doesn't get hot like should, then heating unit is malfunctioning. If it is getting hot after a while, you pull the handle trigger and water comes out, you have to wait long enough for the hot water to get to the head/trigger for it to go into the nozzles. If it was working ok before, and you were waiting for the water to heat, then then it should be working fine. Tell me what is happening if you wait for water to heat and get to the nozzles. I'm right here at my computer and we can get this thing going if the heater unit is good. Regards, Rigger.

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed

I have a Coleman Evcon electric furnace, the blower fan runs constantly and I have to shut the breaker off inside the front cover to turn it off. The switch is on auto and it runs even when the thermostat...

It could be a thermostat problem. Also it will seem to run constantly as it tries to heat and one of the elements are working which could be a sequencer problem.
