Hello
Unplug the device from wall socket. Clean the outside surface of the purifier with a dampened cloth first. Remove the two screws from the back cover and pull out the air purifier. Remove the two screws holding the lint liner in place, and lift the lint screen off. After opened it, you can access the fan and motor. Carefully unscrew the same and rplace it with same type and number, printed on its body. OK.

    More informations to repair follows:
Turn the device around so the back cover plate is facing toward you. Locate the plastic thumbscrews positioned at the middle of the cover plate on the left and right sides. Twist off both thumbscrews and pull the back cover plate off the device. Set the cover plate aside
Locate the two thumbscrews at the top of the exposed square lint screen inside the purifier. Twist off the thumbscrews and grip the top and bottom edges of the lint screen. Lift the screen upward and pull it out of the purifier

Grip the edge of the horizontally positioned purification plate inside the purifier. Pull the plate toward you and set it on a flat work surface. Set the purification plate inside a bowl or dish and pour one part water and one part isopropyl alcohol, so that the plate is just barely covered. Gently scrub both sides of the plate with a soft bristled brush to clean the plate
Wipe the plate off with a soft cloth and set it outside the water mixture. Wait for the plate to completely dry.
Locate the RCI cell near the top edge of the purifier. Unplug the black cable running from the cell to the plug-in port at the bottom-left corner of the purifier. Pull the cell out of the purifier
Slide your new RCI cell into the top of the purifier and ensure the black side is facing you. Plug the new cell's cable into the plug-in port. Slide the cleaned purifier plate back into positioned below the RCI cell. Set the replacement lint screen in front of the RCI cell and tighten the two thumbscrews
Put the back cover plate over the lint screen and tighten the two thumbscrews you twisted off earlier. Plug in the Fresh Air 2.0's power cable and press the power button.

If you need to replace the fan motor, the fan blade can be removed by grasping the center hub of the fan and pull the fan straight out of the purifier. I remove it every time I clean my machine, since it easy to clean it once it is removed.

Remove the rear cover where the switch is mounted. (Take off the filter first) The wires have enough length that it is not necessary to remove them. Use a blow dryer and blow into the opening to remove dust and moisture from the circuit boards. Either one will make it start and stop. Make sure not to get it too hot or too close. Good Luck.

    Use this as a guide

Turn the air purifier around so the rear plate is visible and facing you. Flip the power switch positioned below the rear plate to the "Off" position.

Grip the purifier's power cord and unplug it from your outlet. Grab the plastic locking thumbscrew at the top-right corner of the rear plate. Turn the screw counterclockwise until it pops forward. Repeat the process with the thumbscrew at the top-left corner to unlock the rear plate.

Hold the top-left and top-right corners of the rear plate and pull the plate toward you. Set the plate aside to reveal the lint screen inside the Ecoquest purifier.

Turn the thumbscrews that are positioned at the right and left sides of the plastic lint screen counterclockwise. Grip the top of the lint screen and pull it up slightly until it unlocks from the purifier's case. Pull the entire screen toward you and set it aside.

Locate the flat purification plate positioned near the middle of the purifier. Hold the edges of the plate and slide it toward you. Set the plate on a flat surface.

Unplug the short cable connected to the port at the bottom of the purifier. Follow the cable to the RCI cell sitting near the top edge of the purifier. Pull the cell toward you and discard it.

Set the replacement Ecoquest cell on the plastic shelf near the top edge of the purifier. Plug the new cell's cable into the port near the bottom of the purifier. Push the cleaned purification plate into the rack at the middle of the purifier and place the new lint-screen filter onto the purifier.

Twist the thumbscrews back into position to lock the lint filter. Replace the rear plate and twist its thumbscrews into position. Reconnect the power cord and push the power switch to the "On" position.

Replaced rci and fan motor and my fresh air by ecoquest will not turn on. the digital screen lights up briefly but it is blank and then cuts off

I'm thinking it's the circuit board. I would call Vollara (they bought Ecoquest) & see if you can get a circuit board or send back to them to fix. 800-989-2299. Or, you can Google circuit board for Fresh Air & see if there are any suppliers that you can get it from.

The fan is in a sealed ball-bearing housing, so there's no way to oil it.
If the fan is burned out, it will need to be replaced. You can call Vollara (the new name for EcoQuest) customer service 800-989-2299 and they'll tell you what to do. If the machine is still under warranty, there will be no charge except for shipping it to the company.
Hope this helps.

Ecoquest Fresh Air Air Purifier turning itself off and on rapidly

There is a problem with the main circuit board. Ecoquest will replace the circuit board. If the Fresh Air is still under warranty you have to pay shipping. If it is not under warranty, you'll have to pay all of the repair cost. You'll need to call to get an RMA number before you send it in, either way.
