You can use spray-on oven cleaner, such as "Easy Off" or any similar store brand. Do not use oven cleaner on Aluminum pans, pans with non-stick coatings, or pots/pans with plastic or rubber handles. Wear rubber gloves when working with oven cleaner. It is a very powerful cleaner and can burn your skin.

  1. Put the pan in your empty kitchen sink.
  2. Spray it on generously with oven cleaner.
  3. Leave it overnight, 8 hours or so.
  4. In the morning thoroughly rinse and wipe all the areas you sprayed, including the sink.
You should have a clean pan and a clean sink. Refer to the oven cleaner's label for further instructions and safety hazards. Choose the type of oven cleaner that suits your needs. In my experience, "Fume Free" oven cleaners take longer and don't work as well. Seemingly, the more noxiously fumed cleaners, ie ones containing Lye (Sodium Hydroxide), work better and faster.
This works for porcelain coated pots/pans, stainless steel, steel, glass, etc. Do not use oven cleaner on aluminum pans, pans with non-stick coatings, or pots/pans with plastic or rubberized handles.

My newly laid porcelain floor tiles black matt slate effect look dirty after cleaning with water and a cloth. still looks like they have grout residue stuck to them. How can i clean them

Grout residue is removed with an acid residue remover. The installer should have done that--call him back. If epoxy grout was used (not likely) it will be a real problem to remove.

How to cook hamburgers - temperature, etc.

Hi,

Prepare Patties

1. Put minced scallions and chopped mushrooms in bowl.
2. Add red wine vinegar.
3. Add ground beef to bowl.
4. Mix everything together with your hands.
5. Flatten the beef into four patties that are 1/2-inch thick and 5 inches in diameter.

Cook Patties

1. Set stove-top grill or burner to medium-high.
2. Preheat nonstick frying pan. The pan is the correct temperature when a drop of water dances on its surface rather than sticking to it.
3. Place patties in the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Flip patties and cook for another minute, and then add sliced cheese to the tops of patties if desired.
5. Cover pan and allow burgers to cook for a final 2 minutes. Cook 3 to 4 minutes for well-done burgers.
6. Remove hamburgers from pan and place in hamburger buns.
7. Add condiments and toppings such as ketchup, mustard, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, red onions and pickles.

The once teflon coating has been worn off by frequent use. Causes the finish loaf to stick and upture in the pan.

Try coating the pan with melted butter and a light dusting of APF flour.

The vacuum seems to have lost a lot of suction power and it is only a month old. Seems like there is a clog or something, all filters are cleaned and after a vacuuming session, nothing is in the...

sounds like there is blockage in the suction hose -- lay the machine down and remove the lower floor plate and clean out the hose area where it bends down to the floor unit ( use a wire coat hanger to fish out the blockage ). also check the main hose for any obstructions.

Streaking

you maust have some type of wax build up on ur porceline tiles that has not been removed, and should never been used to begin with as poceline is its own finished luster...or you may have used a strong concentration of cleaner that has left behind residue and needs more water clean up.....try looking to see what type of lines, and size the streaks are and decide if they are created by the cleaning pocess or are left behind by the cleaning solution.....good luck...hope this helps..

My vacuum has not been running right..the beater bar is not picking up and the rollers aren't spinning...the belt doesn't need replaced so what else could it be...everything else seems to be running...

The motor shaft that spins the belt may have hair wrapped arount it, causin the belt to slip. You can't miss the burnt odor.
Remove the belt and clean the motor shaft.

Burning smell, vacuum wont turn on now

the front of the machine ( the peice that holds the brush roller ) and the bag unit are part of a safety system that will only let it turn on if both are locked firmly in place, after checking that examine the cord, look for any burn marks especially at the plug and where the cord clips into the retainer on the handle and if you can where it plugs into the machine but you will probably need a set of torx screwdrivers for that. if there was any funny noises before it shut off the kids could have damaged the motor, and just because the belt isnt broken it can still get burnt and make a bad smell change them ever six months to a year

Burnt smell is probably the belt slipping. Even though it looks OK, either the belt needs replacement and/or the roller needs cleaning and/or lubrication at the ends. Try cleaning the roller ends first and then light lubrication with WD40. If belt works, you are done. If not, replace belt.
