Specific reset instructions will vary depending on the model of your Zenith television. For many Zenith TVs you can reset to manufacturer defaults by pressing 'Menu' then press '9, 8, 7, 6, Enter.' If this doesn't work for your set, try a hard reset: unplug your television and leave it unplugged for at least 4 hours.
You can also try this:
Press the "Menu" button on your remote control. Use the up and down arrow buttons to highlight the video option. Press the arrow that points to the right to select the video option.
Use the up and down arrow to highlight the video reset option. Push the right arrow button on the remote control to select video reset.
Press the right arrow button on the remote control to return the video to original values.
You may need to get a universal remote and the programming codes in order to operate everything you'd like to on your tv. I'm guessing the remote you have is newer than the TV? "Toshiba 65HX81 65 in. Rear Projection Television...65HX83 remote "
tv is drawing too much current and protection circuit kicks on and shuts tv down. try turning all screen controls all the way down. if that doesnt fix it, sounds like bad green picture tube. suggest local service center
Lol?Anywho it could be that. What it is though is far from sticky.Buttons have pressure "receptors" on them that pick up pressure.Otherwise the wires might have been frayed or come undone in the remote control. In that case contact a proffesional or buy a new remote.Hope it helped
I had this problem happen to me today. What i did was unplug the tv for an hour and when i plugged it back in, the first time setup appeared on the tv. The remote and the tv buttons worked fine after that. Hopefully that works for you too.
