1 Answer

The product info on Cisco's web site says that you can use a few static routes witht he SRW2048. Unfortunately, the manual gives no clue about how to configure them. How do I configure static routes on a SRW2048?

I don't see it i looked at the owners manual and see the basics as well as the VLAN configs but that's it.
why do u want static routing? pass through? trunking? I don't see an option for the routing.
I will dig through my ios stuff and post if I find anything.

How to connect wap4410 with pc to confgure

Try disconnecting your Cisco Wap4410 from all other network devices then restart it - it will look for a DHCP server, and when it doesn't find one will choose the IP: 192.168.1.245 ---
Set the TCP/IP settings on your laptop to:
IP:192.168.1.250 / Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 / Default Gateway: 192.168.1.245 and connect your laptop ONLY to the WAP4410 using a cat5 ethernet cable ---- you should then be able to load a web config page using internet explorer and browsing to: http://192.168.1.245
-------- I've paraphrased the following info from the Cisco User Support Forum (User Juunda):
"...If you read the administrator guide it states that the WAP4410N will search for a DHCP server first, if the dhcp request times out then will it default to 192.168.1.245 this is done so with a user friendly plug and play mentality in mind. Best practice would be to give the AP a static IP of your choice and in your subnet/network so the fastest way to configure the AP out of the box is to assign a static IP on your pc/laptop in the 192.168.1.X /24 and directly connect to the WAP4410N and give the WAP a static IP, define your gateway, DNS servers and then implement it into your network..."

I have a linksys SRW2024 24 port switch I am trying to run multiple linsysE3200 wireless routers off of it. For some reason they will not connect to the internet.

This isn't a basic switch, it's effectively a router that you must configure it accordingly: a long process in which you must log it and do all the necessary adjustments, starting with the IP assignations for the other routers and the ports settings. The entire process can be found in the manual, Chapters 3 and 4 If you need the manual

Cisco SG300-52 SRW2048-K9-NA, can you plug in all 52 ports at the same time? Each combo mini-GBIC port has one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port and one mini-GBIC/SFP Gigabit Ethernet slot, with one port active at...

The 'combo' ports can be ethernet or GBIC, not both. While the ports do provide flexibility for interconnects, they do cause some confusion when this comes up. If you need more ports, some Cisco switches do support 'stacking', where they can be interconnected via their StackWise ports located on the back. These switches work together and act like a single switch. Configuration is generally easy, with one switch being marked as 'master', generally the switch that has the uplink to the rest of the network.

Client can not surf or ping specific web address - Cisco router

I am not sure but I believe the IP address is not correct. The trace goes to the following address:

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Tracing route to 200-100-1-5.dsl.telesp.net.br [200.100.1.5]

on my machine. This is only a service provider I believe and not an end website. Have you checked and verified the ip address with the contact organization? Just because you can run a trace route on an ip address does not make accessible.

The cisco could also be blocking the outbound connection at your end.

Hope this helps.

Unable to delete route from Efficient Networks 5851 Router

Sorry to suggest this but since they don't make that unit any longer, it would be simplest to just replace it. The command set is not for the novice and you are correct nothing like Cisco IOS, you can still download the manual from http://www.infobro.com/anon-FTP/Security/5800URG.pdf
If I recall correctly, the default gateway is your default route on these units, been a few years since I have seen one.

HP 6515B

The issue you are having is on the Cisco side. The router will have to be opened or set to allow the connection of these devices and depending on how you have the router setup you will have to configure the Hp's with either static or dynamic ip addressing, of course the static addressing is the least secure. But either way pull up the wireless options on your 4400 .you should have a key to logon machines because i am sure there is some encryption on your server/routers.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/prod_configuration_examples_list.html

this is the link for this product and setup/configuration:

its very detailed, but depending on your IT or admin there you need to know how to configure or search existing information on the unit.

once you got it set or know the key then plug it into the laptop to provide access to your wireless network

Good Luck!

Dose cisco aironet 1100 support routing

You must use a router to perform NATing to the ISP. Simply use a Netgear or Linksys router and plug your access point into it. You can even use a Netgear or Linksys wireless router with the ethernet ports built into it. Just disable the onboard wireless.
