Hi

Please unplug the dryer and check for any loose connections or loose power cord. If connections seems to be fine then try using the dryer with a different power socket. If it still doesn't work then it is due to a faulty thermostat and you would need to check these thermostat's, if necessary replace them. You can buy the parts from this link---

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

You can take ohmmeter and check continuity for the thermostat....Use your ohmmeter to test your switch for continuity. Begin by
setting your ohmmeter to measure resistance at a scale of R x 1. If yours is a
two-wire switch, touch each tester probe to each of the switch's terminals. You
should receive a reading of infinity. While the probes are still touching the
switch's terminals, press in on and hold the switch. The reading should change
to zero. If the test you conduct does not produce these results, you should
replace the switch. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Whirlpool Dryer 3.5 years old has power but will not turn on. Not a breaker problem. has electricity. Drum turns by hand. No noise is heard.

we had a very similar problem on our DLE3777W LG clothes dryer. It would power up normally, all drying options and speed and heat selections behaved normally but when you tried to start the dryer the start button and the time remaining indicator would flash until the unit was turned off. Called LG and Best Buy and they could only tell us to contact a repair shop. But I realized that the light was burned out inside, so I replaced it myself to avoid being charged by the technician I was about to call. The burned out light bulb WAS the problem, as soon as it was replaced the dryer worked perfectly. I think I saved a couple of hundred dollars with a $4 light bulb. I would have been mad to have the technician show up and charge me $120 just to show up, then an hourly rate and then the bulb.

LG Gas Stacking Dryer

The check filter light comes on every load to remind you to clean the lint filter. Cooling only happens when that light is flashing not when it's on solid. If this is a gas dryer check the exhaust hose and vent on the outside of the house. If it is blocked it will not let the unit get to the correct temp due to cycling.
