Hi paulette, if the light is red and TONER COLORS LED all LEDs off
• The machine is experiencing an error, such as jammed paper, open cover, empty paper, installed waste toner container, or full waste toner container. • The machine is experiencing a service required error, such as LSU error, fuser error, or Contact your sales or service representative.
if the light is red and TONER COLORS LED each LED lights red.
• Each toner cartridge is totally exhausted. You can not print. • Each toner cartridge is wrong.
There is a lot of problems that can cause the red light to come on, toner cartridge problems, waste toner tank full, paper jam. The only way to know for sure is to check the smart panel software to see what the printer is reporting as the problem, then you can attempt to fix it.
Hi. Kelly, I think the issue is the due to paper pick-up roller. When the
rollers get dirty or worn-out, the printer fails to pick the paper,
which results in paper jam etc.. So, remove the paper tray and toner
cartridge and locate the paper pick up roller in the middle. Clean it
with damp (with luke-warm water) and lint-free cloth. I hope this would fix the issue. If the Roller is damaged or worn out, it needs to be replaced.
There is a few reasons that cause the status light to turn red, paper jam, paper empty, toner cartridge empty, cover open and waste toner cartridge full. The PC Smart panel utility should give you an exact fault condition. Hope this helps.
So try to get the black toner cartridge out of the Machine. On zhe backside of the Cardridge is a gear. Try to turn the gear, maybe the Toner inside is clump together. When you can turn it very easy in both directions it's fine.
A red Status light means 'paper jam'. A red light corresponding to one or more of the toner cartridges means empty cartridge. A flashing red light corresponding to one or more toner cartridges means low toner.
I have to open the front panel as though I were going to replace the toner cartridge, but, instead I pull out the toner reclamation cartridge (the gray "L" shaped one to the left of the cyan cartridge) and then put it back in. This has cleared it each time for me.
Please take your unit to an Authorized Service Center ASAP. Do not tur on the unit again. That burned fuse means that the temperature sensors inside the printer (thermistors) are not working correctly and the unit is overheating.
