HOW TO SET BRIGHTNESS OF THE SCREEN?

Hi,

Dear User...

You can adjust the brightness and contrast of your monitor to improve the readability of text and to make digital pictures appear more like they'll look when printed.

To improve the results when adjusting the brightness and contrast settings for your display, use Display Color Calibration. (Display Color Calibration helps you adjust these color settings and others.) For more information about calibrating your display color in Windows, see Calibrate your display.

The way you adjust brightness and contrast varies and depends on your specific display.

Brightness and contrast buttons on the front of the monitor. Some monitors have brightness and contrast controls on the front and use the standard symbols shown in the following image.

On-screen menu. You can change the brightness and contrast settings for some displays by using an on-screen menu, and then setting the brightness and contrast in the resulting menu. Many times, you can view the on-screen menu by pressing a button-possibly labeled Menu-on the front of the monitor.

Thanks....

Black screen on computer monitor

Here is the link for the E151FPb monitor manual.
Since you email your question you have access to get this manual and print it. The manual shows the Auto set button, the contrast control button and a monitor reset feature.

Unfortunately you have to do each of these blind. Follow the instruction given, push buttons smartly, wait a few seconds for any action to take place, then follow the next instruction.

Good luck.

My monitor contrast option is displaying 100% whenever i switch on the system. And sometimes it is working normally. how can i solve this?

If this is a stand alone monitor, try working the buttons several times that change the contrast, size, etc. then make sure that you stop on anything but contrast so if the button is sticking you will know it.

On start, monitor contrast option automatically gets activated

if nothing works and you cannot access your monitor settings via the menu button on the monitor then you have no way of correcting it. as far as i am aware the only thing you can change with the monitor from within your operating system are its resolution, refresh rate. so i think you need a knew monitor.

Go into monitor settings and turn "off" X-Contrast. X-Contrast will auto change contrast when backgrounds darkens. However, adjust manually the Brightness and Contrast settings to compensate.

VA721/Windows 2000 - contrast/brightness settings grayed out

The monitor is probably set to sRGB under "color adjust".

Change it to 6500K, which is default, and you should be able to adjust brightness and contrast.
