Question about Dell V313w AllInOne InkJet Printer

Open Question

I have the Dell V313. It is new. When the cartridges of ink that came with it ran low I tried to replace them. No problems doing that. The problem is the copper contact on the back of the holder for the cartridges that makes contact with the copper contacts on the printer. The one on the cartridge is slightly loose or sharp on one edge. It is like it has 4 edges 3 are very smooth but the fourth one is sharp--like it is bent back.

SOURCE: refilled black ink before it ran out-now can use at all

After refilling a Dell cartridge the ink level indicators will no longer work. The printer should still print, unless the cartridge head is also burned out. The ink level indicators will only work if the cartridge is a new Dell cartridge, not a refill, as this resets the ink level indicator to read full again (smart chips are on these cartridges. Also there is some speculation that an expiry date is also in the smart chip rendering the cartridge in opperable, wheather this is fact, has yet to be determined. Ink In A Wink

SOURCE: Problem with Dell ink jet refill....

Hi ,
The dell printers will not identify a refilled cartridge, but still you can print . i think u have refilled the standard color cartridge and you have the dell 924 printer. regarding the software , the dell printers have an inbuilt software which will automatically detect a new cartridge( not a refilled one). But if you want to do it from the computer you can try this.

click on start-------> All programs--------->dell printers------> Dell AIO 924 printer--------> Dell All in one center.

once you click on All in one center , you will find a page coming up on the screen , and on the top center of the page you will get an option called " Maintenance /Troubleshoot " click on that and then you will get an option " install New Cartridges" click on that and then install the refilled cartridge.

Let me know if it works....

Install old cartriage, if you still have it, let the machine tell you that it is empty, then go through the install process with one of the new ones.

Sounds as if there is a small bit of paper jamming it. Also, if it is just out of the box, make sure you haven't missed any of the packaging tape that is used to secure everything.

We have a Dell 944 showing Error 1102 consult user guide...cannot find the user guide. We just replaced color ink cartridge with a re-processed one ordered online. Please advise...many thanks!.

Hi there
Dell Printer 944 error message 1102
Please unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Now plug everything back in. This will reset any error messages the printer has. Now open the printer with the power on and the cartridges should go to the center to be replaced. Take out both Dell Series 5 ink cartridges and make sure the tape is off the cartridges and insert both back in and make sure the seat properly and latch. Close the printer and it should print an alignment page. If you still get the error message

Why does my Dell ink cartridge level still show up as "low ink" after refilling them?
Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not
be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always
report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message.

Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems.
This post is in no way a validation of refilling ink cartridges.

Why my printer is reporting “low ink" after using refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges?
Most ink cartridges have sensors that report the ink level. The “Low Ink” is usually the last sensor (fuse) before
running out of ink.

Since the sensors are fuses that open when the ink level drops, they cannot be reset. If you are using refill or
remanufactured ink cartridges, the best thing to do is to disable “ink alerts” on the printer’s software so you don’t keep
getting “low ink” messages.

To disable “Ink Alerts” on Dell inkjet printers:
1. Open the Dell printer software (All-In One Center, Tool Box, etc)
2. Go to Settings
3. Advanced
4. More Options
5. In the “Appearance Mode, window, check “Never display the Printing Status window” and “Display the low
ink alert only when the cartridges are almost empty.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Ink cartridge jam will not kick back to center

lift the printer and shake to check if it sounds like a piece broken inside.. turn the printer off take the power brick out from the back.. manually pull the cartridge to extreme right then center.. check if cartridge is aligned correctly.. if nothing of this works.. contact dell for replacement under warranty.. if out of warranty.. inkjet printers cannot be repaired if broken.. u can buy a dell v313 of same quality with warranty for $59.

Dell a940 error code 50c

From doing my research, I have found that the 50C Error message comes from the cartridge, usually if it has been refilled. If this cartridge is new, please return it to the place of purchase for a new one or a refund.

Here's what happens when you refill the Dell Series 2 ink cartridges. There is a sensor in them that cannot be reset.

Dell ink cartridges can only be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's website.

Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always report low ink. Lexmark X3480

There are 2 possible problems, or the cartridge is a refilled one or some problem by the cartridge itself. Try to change the cartridge.

Dell A960 AOI Printer problem

Have you reset the ink levels for your printer? Some printer software refers to it as that others ask if you have installed a new cartridge.

Do maintenance on the printer, such as clean heads, print test page, head alingment, etc and see if that fixes it. You can get to all these options through properties

Low ink reading

Thats a cartridge problem. Office max, staples and office depot do not have very good dell compatibles. I've heard since lexmark makes them, they use generic ink for all dell/lexmark. take it back, and go to cartridge world. They have specific inks for dells.
