Question about Computers & Internet

Hello I've just bought a LeNovo Think Edge 15 and am trying to get it up on my own, with almost no pc expertise. So far not bad, but I really would have liked an instruction manual. I can't find one on the net - don't they do those any more? Thank you Marlie

Is it ok to leave the lenovo edge 15 in it's touch screen mode for long periods of time? Like when the keyboard is facing down, it's practically flipping the whole computer upside down.

It is ok to leave the edge 15 facing down for extended periods of time. The components in the laptop are cooled by the fan when needed whether facing up or down. The operation of the laptop will not be affected in the inverted position either.

I am having a fit, my Lenova think pad edge e531 showed a message "thermal sensing error". This computer was purchased Oct.10, 2013. What do you think I should do??

Have a look at this page about replacing the fan.

Also the service manual which says the solution is to " Replace the system board."

Replacing the board is the most expensive as it is the whole computer. It could also mean that it has a loose connection!

- Did you look at the buttom of the pc. Might be a serial number or something similar.
- There should be a back up drive (drive Z: I think it's called, it has the pre installed programs).
- If there isn't any Z: drive, then you should have been given some CD's or DVD's when you bought the pc. They should have the program as well.

Vertical lines constantly showing up on the right edge of my laptop , lenovo thinkpad edge, why?

if you are lucky it is just a windows issue ..usually all display problems are originated in the damage of the driver ..(resolution being affected is a sign ) .My advice is to reinstall the video driver for it ..either from the driver disk , if you have such a disk , or just download it from the support site ..and run it into your computer ..
here is the download from the support site for windows 7 ..
If you need another operation system ..or it is on 64 ..go to this page ..choose select product ..and select your product from the list and the operation system exactly ..and download the graphic card driver ..
Good luck and please rate my answer ...
