Question about Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset Headset

1 Answer

I got new Logitech Clearchat stereo headphones. I plugged the two pins into the pc - pink and green. When I do a skype test I hear the message from my computer speakers (settings says Realtek HD..with no logitech or other option?) not the headphones AND the microphone is not working at all!! It's like the pc is not reading the new headphones. How do I install them so I can choose to use them as a hardware option...??? Please help!!

Realtech hd is your sound device. go into windows control panel and access the sound settings then navigate to voice settings click the volume button, your mic might be muted. also if you want the headphones to work plug them into the plug that your speakers are using (side-note: mics and head phones never need something installed to work as long as your sound device works and your definitely does work, only when the mic is a special interface like USB do you need to install software and/or drivers)

I have 2 plugs on my Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset Headset I have a table top computer where do I pug them

The headphone plug goes into the green jack on the computer. The mic plug goes into the red jack on the computer. The headphone plug with have three segments on the jack, the mic plug will have two, and they'll both be marked. If you're computer doesn't have color jacks, the mic will go into the one with a picture of a mic, the headphones will go into the one with a picture of a headphone or speaker.

I need drivers of "logitech

You shouldn't need to install any drivers for this. You plug the green plug into the speaker output of your computer, and the red one into your mic input.

Doesn't work with Skype

Fixed it: the microphone on the headphone was switched off - it's a bit of a design weakness in the Logitech headset: it's easy to unintentionally turn the microphone off while putting the headset on. The lower half of the right headphone's central medallion is a button - indicated by a crossed out microphone icon.
