Question about SuperTalent (FEM32GFDL) 32 GB IDE Solid State Drive (SSD)

Open Question

I have a Dell Mini 9 (910) that is painfully slow especially when installing a application or program. I really believe the problem is not RAM or CPU because I see plenty of usage available. I have been reading that SSD's are really slow. Is there a solution for this? My SSD is a Super Talent FEM32GFDL. http://www.supertalent.com/datasheets/6_178.pdf

accually ssd are very fast compared to hdd's your ram mainly means how much simultaneous thigs can be running CPU is like the heart every peice of data runs through it. the problem occurs when installing so this means its would be your cpu or you chipset(thats like smaller less power full CPU kind of) and the chipset usualy high end if the cpu is. which means you either have stuff constantly running that hogs up your cpu usage or your chipsets drivers are not up to date....to update drivers first press windows key+R then in the box type devmgmt.msc hit enter a window will pop up and if there is a unknown devices section you should see smbus controller right click it then go to properties click update driver or reinstall driver if it doesnt work you need to manuely locate your chipsets driver online...if programs are hogging you cpu then u need to regularly close items in your taskbar that arnt in use do this by right click exit also if you press ctrl+alt+del it brings up the task manager and you can manuely close processes be carefull some of these are essential Ex.-lsass.exe will make your computer crash if you end process. good luck

How to make it run faster

If your computer has less than 1Gb RAM then install more RAM will help.

If you have a virus program installed, it is most likely is running a scan on your hard disk. It can slow down your computer especially if you have a large hard drive.
To make your computer (hard disk) lean and mean, uninstall any programs you do not use.
Also you need to maintain your hard disk by running Disk Cleanup this will remove old temp files and old compressed files etc.
This will reduce the number of files the virus scanner has to scan. Plus running Defrag. this makes your files contiguous so the system can access files off the hard drive quicker because it does not work as hard.. Disk Cleanup and Defrag should be carried out at least once a month.
If you have 512Mb of RAM installed then installing more RAM will speed up your computer. After installing your graphics card, you may need to disable the built-in graphics card in the BIOS for the new graphics card to work properly.

Painfully slow dell mini netbook

A slow Dell Mini computer can be caused by many many reasons such as outdated hardware, overload start up programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources, remnants of uninstalled applications etc. The fact is, you should keep some system maintenance job regularly. If you don't want to do the job manually, try the Dell speed up solution available here: http://www.speedupslowdell.com/dell-pc-tune-up.html

when the device is downloaded and it asks you to open it i believe it means for you to click or double click to open it

if it is a rar file or a zip file then you may need to install winrar or winzip to open these files

could you please have a look in your programs to see if there is an option to re install the bluetooth from there

Check in the task manager wich program is consuming the most of your CPU usage.

1. Press Ctrl+alt+del to open the task manager window.
2. Go to processes tab, and check.
3. Uninstall the program or programs that are using the most of your CPU.

If that does not work, check your system page file. You do that also on the task manager in the ''performance'' tab. It will show you two graphs, the CPU usage and the PF Usage (page file usage). If the page file is bigger than the amount of RAM you have installed, I would recommend you two options: 1)upgrade your RAM to your system needs or 2) uninstall any unused program or programs that you don't use regulary.

You can also try to restore your system to a previous configuration date were you know the system was working perfectly. In windows go to start>all programs>accesories>System tools>system restore.

As last resort, I would recommend, to backup all your data, documents, applications and others that you might need in the future and after that reinstall windows.

I have an IBM Thinkpad 1200 and its running slow, i need to change the CPU to a faster one. What CPU is available for it?

I think cpu changing is not wise in budgetry if really you need to make your device faster .
if really you want to make it faster just change the motherboard and cpu to gether but still its not resionable.
better to try and increese the ram and the use faster hard drive .
and run only the programs only required by disabling application on startup.

My dell inspiron mini 10 notebook using window 7 pro..why it always hang when i opened many application..

The Dell mini computer runs on a Intel Atom processor and has just 1GB of RAM on it.. So the computer is designed only for internet surfing and launching small applications.. Thats the reason it is called as a netbook.. It comes with win starter edition... It is not highly recommended running a win 7 pro on this machine.. It can be really slow on this Operating system... Thats the reason your computer is slow.. Try to run inbuilt cleaning like disk clean up to see if there is any iimprovements in speed.. Else switch the Operating system to win XP or Win 7 Starter

Laptop gets hot

An overheating problem will cause the CPU to shut down and if this is not fixed then eventually the CPU will fail. Check the fan to see if it spins freely, also check the heatsink and fan assemble to see if it is clogged with dust, if so loosen the dust and vacuum to remove the dust. If the fan does not spin, then the fan bearing has seized up and the fan needs to be replaced.

A slow computer can be caused by several things.
Insufficient RAM especially if it has 256 Mb or less. - Install more RAM
A virus scanning program is running. - It will speed up after the virus scan has completed.
Two or more applications are running at one time. - Closed unnecessary programs.
Running low on hard disk space - the swap page file space is too low. This can be increased or let Windows adjust the swap page automatically, provided there is sufficient disk space.

You need to do hard disk maintenance at least one a month, Run Disk Cleanup and defrag on the hard disk. This will free up hard disk space by removing old and temporary files that are no longer needed. Please click on this link and follow my instruction on hard disk maintenance ;-

I am about to smash my laptop and I can't afford a new one now. It is a Dell inspiron 6000. It has slowed down, way down. Advice from this site led me to disable all sorts of stuff in my startup...

Since you already did those things to speed up your computer like disabling some start up program and that help in the computers performance but some application are still slow. The next thing that you can do is to remove some unneeded programs that are installed on the computer to free up some resources like Memory and hard drive. Do also a Dis De-fragmentation on your hard drive to clean and compact you drive. If you really like to speed the computer the best way to do that is to add up some RAM on this computer since the computer can support up to 2 GIG of RAM, this computer only came with 512 MB of RAM so adding RAM on the computer will definitely make it work faster. This is the type and specs of your RAM that you need DDR2 SDRAM - 400.0 MHz , PC2-3200 just go to a computer store and ask for that type of RAM.

Dell 2400 dimension desktop

When you said "I think its a memory problem" your right, you need more of it. Try adding more RAM. It's really cheap now a days, especially for the 2400. Memory is available everywhere. While this is not an endorsement of their site, Computer Memory Outlet.com has about the cheapest RAM available and they are reputable and reliable and orders usually ship next day. I personally get all my memory from them.

anaanymous

p.s. They have an on site utility that will scan your computer and tell you the exact RAM you need and the maximum RAM you can add
