Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: sensitive touch pad

Hi, click on start and control panel. go to mouse properties. Try to look for a tab that says either touch or touchpad. you can change the sensitivity settings there. however if this doesnt work, this could only mean that this is a physical problem with the toucpad. try to apply pressure on the outer side of the touchpad. if it moves, you're gonna need a replacement palmrest.

SOURCE: I want to deactivate my touch pad on my dell

If you do not see a Touchpad icon in your systray(lower right), go to:

Start/Control Panel/System

On the left choose "Device Manager".

Select "Mice and other pointing devices" and highlight "Dell Touchpad"

Either right click and "Uninstall" or click the uninstall icon at the top.

Restart your machine and it will automatically update the driver from Dell which will put the Touchpad icon back in the system tray.

Click on this icon and go to "Device Select"

Check the "Disable Touchpad/Pointing stick when external USB mouse id present.

SOURCE: my touch pad is not

There is a button in the top row on the right of the F12 key. It is made like a white box with a black cross in it. Pressing it once should enable the touch pad.

DELL INSPIRON N5010 STORAGE CONTROLLER

Hardware - Are part of the motherboard and controlled in BIOS.

Storage Controllers (drivers) are loaded by Windows during install.

Here are the laptop drivers, but there should no reason to change or modify. It would not be working at all if there was something wrong.

I HAVE INSTALLED WINXP ON MY DELL N5010 HOW I COULD GET DRIVERS THAT SUPPORTS XP

Hello there.
You can find WinXP drivers here:

http://www.a2zdrivers.co.cc/2011/04/dell-inspiron-n5010-xp-drivers.html

I don't suggest you to install OS on your laptop, because N5010 is not designed for XP, and you may have problems.

I hope I was helpfull.

Sincerely,
Steve TM

Drivers for dell inspiron n5010 for xp

To get the correct drivers for your Dell Inspiron n5010 I suggest you go to the link below. This is the Dell Driver download page. You'll notice that you have 3 options for getting the correct drivers for your computer. The best option is to enter your "Service Tag" number. Usually this is located on the bottom of your computer.

My laptop touchpad is not working dell inspiron n5010

you will have to reinstall the drivers and the sofware in your Dell. I think since the touch pad is not working if you use the cursor keys and proceed to the control panel and try to restore the laptop, then if this will reset to an earlier date, then it will solve the issue.
try this out and check to reinstall drivers. hope this helps. Good day
