Buy some laser cleaner sheets and run them through the printer several times. If the cause is simply dirty rollers, that should take care of it. Otherwise, might need a technician to do a thorough cleaning.

Hi, the green light is steady on the lightbulb icon. And im unable to print

This light sequence means that the printer is ready to receive and process data but it is in Power Saver mode.

If a print job is sent, Press Continue to print the menu settings pages for a list of current printer settings. You may also Press and hold Cancel to reset the printer.

It has somes spots on the side of the sheets and I cleaned the cartriges and the spots isn't gone.

A print quality defect in which pages contain random spots or splotches (click on the link to see sample http://bit.ly/mRX3qz) may occur after the replacement of a supply item or the clearing of a paper jam. If your printed output resembles the example shown, please do the following:

Print the Menu Settings page to check the levels of your consumable supplies (i.e. items such as toner cartridges and photoconductor units). Supplies that are at or near the end of their functional lives can cause various print quality issues independently of the operation of the printer.

If any of your other supplies are low, replace them to see if this resolves the issue. Instructions for replacing supplies can be found in the User's Guide.

It is always advisable to print the Print Quality Pages to get a detailed look at your printer's output. These pages allow each color plane to be viewed independently to determine if the issue is with one color (possibly due to a single supply item), or with all the colors (indicating a more general issue with the printer).

If the above checks show that everything is normal, the print quality issue is probably a temporary situation which sometimes follows supply replacement or paper jam removal. Printing 5-10 additional pages should allow the issue to clear up on its own.

If the print quality issue does not clear on its own, please contact Lexmark Technical Support

Lexmark all in one new printer

Hi Susie,
This could be due to a dirty feed roller or maybe the type of paper that you are using. What you can do is inspect the feed roller and make sure there is no debris or dirt in it. You will find the roller at the end of the paper tray. Hope it helps.

I have a lexmark X5690. Can I print on both sides other than by printing odd pages, then restocking printed paper to print even pages?.

I am afraid not. The printer doesn't have automatic duplex printing capacity. To print both sides you have to do it manually, as you are doing.

Dirty Pages

your fuser may need to be changed. The fuser fuses the toner to the paper. sometimes it will get a build up on it causing "dirty pages" as you described.

T632 lexmark getting dirt on printed pages

Hi Krimlakh,
Try replacing the toner cartridge first. Usually when this happens the waste hopper of the toner cartridge is full and start to leak on to the page.
