Question about Hyundai Computers & Internet

Open Question

I'm having an issue with my Hyundai x90w LCD monitor. It powers on but shows no picture. The blue light turns to orange and it doesn't do anything after that. I took it apart and can't find anything wrong with the capacitors.....and that's where I'm at.

SOURCE: AL 1716 LCD monitor has no power when plugged in.

As someone suggested the 3 10 volt 1000uF caps are bad. You can indentify them because they're puffed up on the top and therefore blown. Replace them withj a 25 volt cap 470uF or larger and away you go. I did 4 of them in 3 hours. The case snaps apart which is the hardest part. them remove all the screws you can find, unplug the display from the board, remove the rest of the screws holding the power supply board down, and look for the puffy caps. Cahnge them and put everything back together and away you go.

check your driver to ensure that it's the correct driver.

SOURCE: lcd display mainly just white

Hi...Brye,

Well... you've fixed the inverter problems, but another problems has pop-up...It's seems you probably burnt out the chipset that contains the bios. That's why the screen turned white... cuz no information in the bios. You'll need to updated the bios or just replaced a new AD Board. Have fun...Good lucks!

SOURCE: LCD Monitor is black... blowing transistors

Bulging or "blown" electrolytic capacitors are a common problem with LCD monitors. If you replaced them with correct parts (voltage rating) then one of two situations comes to mind:
1. Electrolytic caps are polarized, if you install them backwards they will blow quickly.
2. The voltage the circuit provides exceeds the rating of the cap. A 5 volt cap in a 12 volt circuit will blow quickly. The voltage regulation circuit may not be working.

When i switch on my pc the monitor display a blue power light for 5 seconds and then it turns to orange and nothing displays on screen.

Make sure you have connected the Video cable properly, Please disconnect the Video cable from the Computer and connect the monitor only to the power source. If you monitor shows anything like "Check video cable" or "No Signal" that means the monitor is working fine. You just need to connect it properly to the computer

there is no reset button on lcd monitors, check power cable first, if the blue pilot led lights but no picture, you might need to bring the unit to the shop for servicing..

My biewsonic va702b, when powered up flashes for one second the screen. it's bright in all the corners, just wont stay on, power light changed to orange. do I have inverter problems??

The power light turning orange means the monitor isn't getting a signal from the computer. Or the monitor has a problem. If the screen shows light in the corners, the inverter is working. (If the inverter stops there is no light at all.)

The first thing to try is connecting another monitor to make sure your computer is actually starting up. If that monitor also shows nothing, you have a computer issue to take care of. Otherwise the monitor needs service.

It's turns blue to power safe mode (yellow) it's prevent futher damaged to your monitor. It's seems you got a busted backlight inverter. Need to replaced a new one...Since you only got it for a few months, send it back to Acer for a replacement of a new backlight inverter... Have a nice day!
