Question about Computers & Internet
I am just guessing here that you installed a router between your outside modem and inside equipment correct? Ok if so then remember this the router/firewall most likely blocks all traffic ports including email you will have to get into the router setup to configure ports to be opened.
port #110 is used for pop3 clients
port #25 is used for SMTP clients
it all depends on what type of email you have. If your going through like yahoo or gmail cloud applications then they use a standard browser at port #80 that should go right through your router
