Question about Hoover HCA330FFK Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

The ice maker won't work if the freezer is warmer than 17 degrees so that's not an issue till you get the freezer cold again. I would guess that your unit is stuck in the defrost cycle. This could be the defrost timer failing. Ice on the back wall indicates a problem with the defrost cycle. The ice builds up and starts to choke off the air flow, so your symptoms would indicate that may be happening.
Defrost problems are usually any of the three components, the heater element, the defrost termination temp switch, or the defrost timer.

Temperature control board or control switch needs to be replaced. Your frige doesn't know the temp so it won't shut off at the correct temp.
