Check the strainer filter (biggest fitting) on the back of the tank, that might be causing the flow problem.

Continuous flow from water dispenser

With GE it could be a bad water valve, bad microswitch that actuates the water or could be a bad main control board. You can diagnose the valve by simply pulling the wire harness off and turning the water on. If the water starts to flow with the power removed from the valve then the valve is stuck and needs replacing. If the water stopped with the power removed, check the valve's wire harness with a volt meter and see if 115vac is being applied. If so then the switch or the board are bad. You can check the switch by setting your meter to continuity and checking the com part of the switch to either the no or nc part. One should test good for continuity, the other not and with the switches buttong depressed the exact opposite. If the switch test good then the board is bad.

KitchenAid Superba KRA22ILBL00 water dispenser not working

When the dual water control valve is worn out they tend to buzz, hum and sometimes melt plastic housing around coil. Some even have the plunger stuck inside. Best thing to do is replace. I was not able to find a model KRA22ILBL00 in the US database but if that is your model number I would replace the water control valve, Thanks Sea Breeze

GE Model WCVH6800J Error Code 04. I do not have list of codes for this model, so I need translation.

Codes Description Action
22,23 Fill problems
• Ensure manual water valves are fully open.
• Check if water strainers on solenoid valve assembly are clogged.
• Check for obstructions inside inlet water hoses.
• Ensure solenoid valves do not leak when the valves are de-energized and the washer is powered down. • Measure coil resistance for both valves; if outside range (1000-1250 ohms at room temp.), replace solenoid valve
• Replace solenoid valve assembly.
30, 31 Drain problems
• Ensure pump strainer is clean and free of debris.
• Check for obstruction inside the drain hose.
• Check pump impeller blades and bearing; if evidence of blade damage or seized bearings are present, replace the pump.
• Check electrical connections at the pump motor and harness.
• Measure pump motor resistance; if outside range (9-14 ohms at room temp.), replace the pump.
38,39 Dispenser problems
• Check for obstruction in dispenser mechanism and linkages.
• Check electrical connections at dispenser motor feedback switch and in the harness.
• Replace dispenser motor assembly.
42,45, 49 Motor Drive operation above design limits
• Ensure all 4 shipping bolts have been properly removed.
• Remove all foreign objects that may be lodged between inner and outer basket.
• Look for signs of seized bearing(s) on basket and drum motor, replace components as necessary.
• Inspect condition and mounting of door gasket, replace and re-mount as necessary.
• Ensure inner basket (drum) can rotate freely.
• Replace motor drive or drum motor.
43,4A, 4B,4C, Motor Drive internal problems
4E,4F, 50,52,

• Measure AC outlet voltage, ensure correct range (102V to 132V AC).
• Check electrical connections at the drum motor, motor drive.
• Check harness integrity between main control and motor drive.
• Unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds, restart the unit.
• If the fault persists and re-appears -replace the motor drive.
57,58,71 Main Control internal problems
• Unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds, re-start the unit.
• If the fault persists and re-appears -replace the main control.
60,61,63,64, DOOR LOCK assembly problems
• Check integrity of wiring and connections between main control and DOOR LOCK mechanism.
• Investigate DOOR-LOCK mechanism, check door microswitch operation, lock and unlock solenoid continuity, contact integrity;
replace DOOR LOCK mechanism if necessary.
• Replace the main control.

front panel and control housing, re-assemble. Ensure all keys can be operated freely without "sticking."
• Replace the main control.
62 System Contact Failure
• Check integrity of wiring and connections, look for insulation breakdown and short circuit conditions on the harness, replace
harness if necessary.
• Check integrity and electrical connections of all loads (heater, pump, pressure switch, door lock, solenoid valves,
dispenser motor), replace respective components if necessary.
• Replace the main control.

Our icemaker had a red blinking light and wasn't working. We took out the bin and let it defrost - cleaned it out (turned it off). Then after it was clean put it back in the freezer - we switched it to...

The bimetal thermostat embedded inside your ice maker is what tells the water control valve to open on rear of refrigerator near floor where the water supply enters the refrigerator. That water valve has two sides. One for the water dispenser and other for ice maker. I will try to make this simple and in my words because Whirlpool now owns Maytag and its related brand names. They do not allow me to provide the service manual any longer so I need to place my on work here. Even with what I believe is the problem you may have a technician or someone that is comfortable working with electricity test the dual water control valve on back and near floor.
Test for continuity and resistance on both sides with power disconnected from dual water control valve. Both sides should show very close to the same amount of resistance. Use care testing water control valve because of the risk of shock especially if wet. Click Here=>

The dual Water Control valve is Part Number=> 61005626 Dual Water Control Valve
Another way of testing ice maker is to fill with tap water and turn on. If ice freezes and drops then the dual water control valve needs to be replaced. If not working then you have two options and that is a complete Ice Maker Assembly Part Number=> D7824706Q or replace parts.

Ok, generally, the issue will be between the valve, or the main control sector. You have replaced the valve, so the only component that can cause this will be the actual main control sector. The control sector can be a timer module, or a control board. I recommend to replace the control sector, asap. The price range for this type of control device will be around the $195.00 mark. Possibly less, depending on where you purchase the device,

Built in water dispenser drips/leaks (fridge model

It is very possible that the water control valve on the rear of your refrigerator needs replaced. It would also be a good idea to install a pre-filter before the water gets to the water control valve. I believe the side of the valve that controls the water dispenser is stuck open slightly allowing water to drip. You can test by disconnecting the wires to the dispenser side and see if the drip stops. When you press dispense water the dual water control valve opens completely on the rear for the water to flow. If the seal inside is defective it will leak. Here are a couple places to finds the Dual Water control Valve

Just enter your part number or model number or click on the photo on the second site listed. They are both good suppliers. Let me know if this is helpful or if you need more help Thanks, Sea Breeze
