Question about Plantronics Voyager 500A Deskphone Adapter for Voyager Series Bluetooth Headset [ Pla... Headset

My plantronics voyager 500a headset has worked great for about 18 months. Now it is continually losing its sync with the base. I push the black button on the earpiece and it sync's again and I don't use it to let it charge... then 1 hour later it is shut off again and out of sync. Every day when I come into the office it is out of sync. What do I do to fix or should I buy a new one?

I would recommend purchasing a new headset, it sounds like it is wearing down. Below is a link for the replacement headsets p/n 84321-01.

Can sync earpiece to base. Please help.


Here are the pairing instructions for your Plantronics Voyager 500A base:
On the base, press and hold both speak volume fine adjust buttons until the blue talk/on line indicator light and red power indicator light start to flash.
Now put the headset into paring mode that you will be using with the base.
Pairing is complete when the talk/on line indicator on base illuminates solidly.

The red light and blue light in on permanently. The earpiece has been charged all night but when I push the earpiece to sync, the blue light on top of the base doesn't flash therefore no connection. Please...


Unplug the AC power from the Plantronics 500A base, leave it unplugged at least overnight if possible, no lights should be illuminated on the base. Then plug the power back in, charge the headset, and try re-pairing the headset to the Plantronics 500A base unit. Here is the link for the pairing instructions:

Headset not working. red light on base is flashing and yellow light is static; no blue light

I've plugged everything in, no signal on headset...what could be the problem?


Make sure that the Plantronics Voyager 510S / 500A headset is powered on (remember that it has an individual power button on the actual headset), and that it is paired up to the 500A base unit. Below is a link for the user guide.

How do i sync the bluetooth to the base

I was searching for this today and happened to find the above on the plantronics website. It definitely frustrated me till I found out about how to put the base in pairing mode.
