Question about Vizio M470NV 47 in. LCD HDTV
Hi, remotes are pretty simple to repair actually-usually there is contamination behind keypad that prevents contact with the circuit board. If you can take apart the remote ( the trickiest part may be the battery terminals that tend to hang up ) then you can use regular rubbing alcohol to clean the gold colored " swirls " behind the keypad-also clean the 'black" dots on the opposite side of the rubber keypad itself, once everything has dried/been wiped dry, reassemble and you should be good to go-laso if your remote "rattles a little?" on the circuit board there are what as know as " ceramic filter" I have never bought one for replacement but have scavenged from other remotes. why I brought up rattling is because if you drop your remote the wrong way or hard enough it can break this little piece ( it is bigger than most of the other components except an I.C. chip) it is usually a pastel blue, green or orange color. And that about covers remote troubles ( assuming the BATTERY CONTACTS aren't corroded which are also cleanable) I hope this helps and good luck. Prodzilla
