MB Acer Power F1B S0307.007

Good morning, we are experiencing, at least in Italy, a high failure rate of MB Acer Power F1B P / N S0307.007. All have the same defect that is "No power on self test". Do you experiencing the same situations? Has Acer recognized this problem and therefore is there a rework of the MB's managed by Acer? Do you know the cause of the defect and its solution? Thanks and regards Luciano Cantoni - Teknema

Power supply tests ok but installed nothing happens It was working ok until last nite when it shut itself off.wouldn't restart tried another power supply same result.tried an old one without the 24 volt mb...

It would appear that you may have an overloading component and the power supply's protection mechanism shuts it off as a safety measure.
The fact that the symptom continues even with another power supply suggests this is the case. However, before running into any conclusions, please check and double check your mb connections.
Also, added high performance hardware has its toll on power. Have you added hardware to your system? If that's the case, try getting a higher powered power supply.
Good luck!

MB starts up, CPU fan runs, after 5 seconds, one beep and MB off

It appears that the system is shutting down without you telling it to.
If it does this at a given time interval, the problem is most likely heat.
Can you boot the system with a start-up disk (a system disk) and have it keep running?
Your heat problem can be in the CPU or in the power supply. Have you checked the power supply fan to see if it's running?
Have you removed the heat sink and reapplied a good thermal grease?
