Can the tracking on the sanding belt on the B&D belt sander 5.2A be adjusted?

yes ther should be a knob on the top front roller (top side) this should affect tracking , also make sure tension taker (lever for changing belt) Is fully off so that belt gets its full tension , if the belt doesnt get full tension it will walk side to side

New running belt tracks to thr left

Adjusting Tension on a Treadmill Running Belt It is necessary to properly tension a treadmill belt when it is replaced. After time, a belt can stretch and may begin to slip. When this happens, it is necessary to adjust the tension of the running belt to stop it from slipping. Manufacturers of treadmills generally agree on one of three procedures for how to tension a treadmill running belt.
  1. Adjust for no slippage of the treadmill walking belt on the front roller (Often referred to as the "Stomp Test")
    1. This procedure works well for a previously installed belt that is now slipping.
    2. Underside of belt should be free of any glazing/wax buildup.
    3. Rollers must also be free of wax buildup.
    4. Be sure belt tracking/centering is correct before proceeding.
    5. The most popular speed for this adjustment is 2mph to 3mph.
    6. Try to slow the belt by applying pressure with your foot against the belt movement while grasping the handrails. If the running belt slow, slips or stops (and the front roller does not) adjust BOTH adjustment bolts 1/4 turn clockwise. Test again and repeat adjustment if necessary.
  2. This procedure requires two belt gauges or calipers
    1. This procedure works well when installing a new belt.
    2. This procedure requires you to stretch the belt. Depending on the manufacturer*, this varies between .4 and .6 percent. A dial on the gauge or caliper will indicate the amount of stretch. *Consult the owner/service manual for proper tension.
    3. If you are working on a previously tensioned belt you will need to release the tension before attaching the gauges or calipers.
  3. Gauges or Calipers unavailable
    1. Release the tension on the belt.
    2. Using a yard stick or tape measure, place two marks on the left and right edges of the belt and deck 36 inches apart (or 50 inches if you prefer).
    3. Adjust the left and right tensioning bolts until both sides measure 36 3/16 inches (or 50 1/4). This is equal to .5% of stretch.
    4. Test for proper tracking and tension, adjust if necessary.

100.01 Services ITU Error, Lexmark C782

From the Lemark Service manual

A 100.01 ITU error indicates that the printer did not detect the ITU belt home sensor. Before proceeding with this

service check, make sure that the Second Transfer Roll is correctly installed. After you reinstall the Second

Transfer Roll, check to see if a 100.01 ITU error is still displayed. If a 100.01 ITU error is still being displayed,

continue with this check.

The ITU has an optical sensor that watches for a piece of reflective tape on the inside of the image belt. This

tape is read every revolution of the belt. If a signal is not received from the belt sensor within a certain time

period, the printer posts an error due to the loss of signal. There are several causes for the loss of signal. First,

the belt has tracked too far to the front or rear of the printer. In this case, the belt is still turning, but the reflective

tape is no longer passing within view of the belt sensor. This is considered a belt tracking error and is initially

posted as a 100.02 ITU Error. The other causes of a signal loss could be a belt stall, meaning the belt is not

turning, or a true signal loss, which would be due to a bad sensor, broken cable, loose connection, or bad

system board. These other causes post as a 100.01 ITU Error.

To assist the printer in determining the cause of a signal loss, there is a buffer that records the belt position for

the last 50 revolutions. If the printer loses the belt signal, it refers to the buffer. If the buffer shows significant

mistracking before signal loss, it will post a 100.02 ITU Error. If the buffer shows that the belt has been tracking

in the center before signal loss, it posts a 100.01 ITU Error. Due to memory restrictions, the buffer is not saved

during POR. This means if a printer posts a 100.02 ITU Error, so the belt is tracked off, and the customer or

servicer turns off the printer to clear the error, when the printer starts up, it will still not see the belt signal and will

now post a 100.01 ITU Error because the buffer is empty. When servicing a printer for a 100.01 ITU Error, it is

important to view the error log. See "Display Log" on page 3-29. The error log can only be displayed at this
point. Do not try to print the log. Look for past occurrences of 100.01 ITU Errors preceded by a 100.02 ITU Error.

I have the Incline Trainer X7i. i lost the manual. the belt is tracking to the left and rubbing the side. how do i adjust the tracking to get it back to center?\r\nthank you,

Find the allen key that came with the treadmill. It is used to assemble and adjust the treadmill.
Locate the 2 adjustment screws at the rear of the machine. If the belt is shifting to the left, tighten the left screw (turn clockwise) and the same if the belt goes to the right, tighten the right.
Only turn the screw 1/2 turn and move the belt manually to shift the belt. If it requires more, turn another 1/4 turn, very little adjustment may be required to straighten the belt. Once the belt stops rubbing, start the machine running slowly (1-2 mph) and observe the belt FROM DIRECTLY BEHIND THE MACHINE. Carefully adjust the rear roller till the belt is as close to center as possible making small adjustments, 1/8-1/4 turn clockwise of the adjustment screws.

New feed belt will not track evenly. Belt is loose on left side & tight on right, but if I tighten the left side to pull it flat, it tracks off to the right immediately. I tried reversing the belt in...

Could be the belt, sometimes they get glued together wrong and they don't track, or its the tension wheel/ track wheel.

It looks like one of the stationary rollers might have a small adjustment
that you can do, hard to tell looking at the diagram,

but if you can adjust this tighter on the right side it should track the belt back to the left, so check and see if any of the rollers or holder of the rollers can be loosened and moved a hair to get the track to the left so the adjust track can make it track straight.

If you still have the old belt, put it on, if it works then there is a problem with the new one and it is not the machine.

Your drive motor is over heating. Usually caused by friction from the walk belt. The belt needs to be lubricated. (silicone only) Loosen the adjusting screws on the rear of the macine ten revolutions lift up the belt and using a spray silicone lubricant (from any big retailer) spray a light film on the deck (walk board). Retighten the adjusting bolts ten revolutions. If this does not help I would suggest replacing the walk belt.

Our belt is slipping on our nordic track c1900 treadmill, how do i fix it?

I have the same unit. First, remove the hood. Then, the motor has an adjustment screw on the belt side of the motor. Loosen the nut a little, adjust the motor up or down to make the belt as tight as you can by hand, then re-tighten the nut. This always fixes mine.

Tool Shop Belt sander - can't align belt tracks to thee inside

The problem is that you have not set the adjustment properly. Back off the adjustment screws, slide on the belt and center it over both rollers, addust a little at a time both screws, after belt begins to tighten up stop adjusting. Turn the power switch on for about 1 second. Is the belt tracking? Adjust as necessary. Try the power again for longer and longer periods untill belt tracks in the center of the rollers. Tighten nuts to keep adjustment screws from backing out.

Belt won't stay on belt sander

Check first that you have retensioned the belt... i.e. when you removed the other belt, you would have had to pull on a spring-loaded lever to remove the belt tension before you added the new one... make sure the tension lever is flipped back in to ensure the new belt is tensioned...

Next, and the likely problem you are having, is belt tracking... There should be an adjustment knob up near the front of the sander near the front roller, either on top of the front part of the sander, or to the side near the front roller... When you turn this knob, it makes the belt track either left or right over the sander's base. This knob will allow your belt to run square and true and not spin off to one side...You need to adjust the tracking using this knob while the belt sander is running and with the new belt tensioned and in place, so turn the sander upside down, and power it on with one hand, then turn the knob with the other hand whichever way is needed to have the belt track square and in the middle of the rollers. Make small adjustments on the tracking knob to begin with. They can be sensitive at times.

That should stop your belt spinning off to one side.

How do you adjust the belt for a Weslo Cadence 815 treadmill?

Hi, I don't have a manual on your particular treadmill but most all treadmills use the same type of belt tension and tracking, which is an allen screw adjustment on the rear tension bar. One on either side. You should have been provided an allen wrench with your treadmill, if not then use one of your own the proper size. Make the adjustment with the unit running at its slowest speed. Clockwise tightens the tension and will draw the belt. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
