You could add php module to apache. you should check the httpd.conf that you have the line for php. Depending on your distribution, you might have apache compiled with php. You can check with apache2mod -M and see the output if you have it. you can check Octopus Computer Solutions blog sections they might have more information for you.

Php was not added to the httpd.conf

or apache wasn't restarted after they were added. You may just want to verify the following lines exsist:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php4 .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

SOURCE: PHP issues with ''''... Please help!!!

Hello.

If you want PHP to use quotation marks you have to seperate them from the ones that start the expression by a backslash(\).

Here are two examples:
WRONG: echo "A "QUOTE" AND SOME TEXT";
RIGHT: echo "A \"QUOTE\" AND SOME TEXT";

or

WRONG: echo 'A 'QUOTE' AND SOME TEXT';
RIGHT: echo 'A \'QUOTE\' AND SOME TEXT';

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Logout script with session management in php5

just create a logout.php script with the following

<?php
session_start();
session_destroy();

header("Location: index.php");
?>

Have your logout button/link/whatever just open that page which connects to the session with session_start. Session destroy does exactly what it sounds like... it unsets all session data and tells the server to end the session. The header request then just re-directs the user to whatever page you want after (just change out index.php)

Do i have PHP?

Hi moll,

1.Create a blank file and call it "myfile.php" – The file must end with the ".php"
2.Use only this line of code -
<?php
phpinfo() ;
?>

3.Save the file and upload the file to your website server.
4.Go to www.mywebsite.com/myfile.php
If you see the line of code you wrote, it means you can't run PHP, if you see the PHP information it means you can run PHP on your server.
