Question about Husqvarna Zero Turn Mower Z5426

Open Question

My zero-turn ran fine the 1st cutting after spring tuning. During 2nd cutting, it stopped moving completely with the engine running fine. Upon inspection, I noticed no linkage/nut issues or loss of fluid from the tank, pumps, or hoses. I did see a thin coating of dust and fluid on the new filter (it had vibrated loose about 1 turn). I tightened it up- but still no go. Do you think that might have allowed air in the pump and caused it to stop? If so- how can I purge it?

SOURCE: Husqvarna LGT2654 with Briggs & Stratton Intek Engine won't start

If the fuel line is dry after the fuel pump its usally the diaphram thats stuffed does it have a fuel tap in place? is it off? also i know with nem mowers just been come over from freight the fuel filter is full of oil for the first start up as the valves need lubrication first startup... take the fuel line off from the carb just have it hanging down for a start, then crank the mower over, you should then have fuel coming out of fuel line by then... see if that helps jay QLD AUS

SOURCE: Runs good for about an hour, then needs 15-30 minute rest period

When it's about to quit, quickly undo the gas cap. If it roars back to life, you have a vacuum problem, where the vents aren't letting air into the gas tank to replace the used fuel, so after a while, gravity isn't sufficient enough to pull gas from the tank until is sits and equalizes for a while.

Remove the gas tank and clean it out, look for signs of water and or dirt in the tank also look for a pinched fuel line between the tank and the carburetor

SOURCE: New Lawn mower cutting off after 40min of run time

Sounds like you have found a possible solution to your problem. If the cap is not able to vent, it will create a vacuum. If this happens again, try just loosening the cap and see if the mower will run before filling it up again.

Just sounds like either a jet is blocked in one of the carbs or maybe a spark plug is fouled up.tap the exhaust down pipes with your hand quickly to see which one isn't getting hot to see which ones not running.

I have a Series 2 commodore SSV Ute, I'm not sure about the other gears but in first gear when I reach 5500 RPM the engine cuts out. That's the only way to describe it. It's like turning the motor off

most likely an rpm limiter sensor that prevents you from blowing the motor
moving from 1st to 2nd or any gear should be done at no more than 4000 rpms as the engine is outside the torque range and is just a waste of fuel

Troy-bilt riding mower won't move in forward or reverse

I had a similar problem with my TroyBilt 50 inch zero turn mower. Was cutting grass when it stopped going either forward or backward even though it would start and the PTO would move the cutting blades. Turned out the tensioner spring for the belt that drives the motors near the rear wheels had gone missing. Searched the yard where I had cut and moved the machine but couldn't find it. A new one cost me about $7.50. Put the new one on and it worked fine.

I have a John Deere lawn mower with a Briggs & Straton 190cc 875 engine series engine ... When mowing the grass I ran the front portion of the mower into a shrub ,the engine stopped , I investigated...

Could be the spring has been stretched when you ran into the bush. With the engine running but out of gear move this spring by hand and see if the engine speeds up If it does I sometimes cut off the end of the spring and pull a piece out and make a new end with needle nose pliers or buy a new spring. I like to repair mine.
