My logitech webcam keeps disconnecting and reconnecting quite often. please advise.

LOGITECH C615 WEBCAM SETUP

You don't say which Operating System is installed on your computer or where you loaded or downloaded the drivers for this webcam from. I assume it was from the CD that came with the camera. If you do not have a CD or the CD is defective, you can select your Windows or Mac OSX Operating System (other Operating Systems might not be supported) and download the drivers from the Official Logitech Driver and Downloads Support Website here:

For some webcams, it is better to install the drivers and software first and then connect the camera afterwards.

If you have previously installed the drivers and software with the camera connected, disconnect the webcam > uninstall all components of the webcam drivers and software > restart the computer > reinstall the webcam drivers and software > restart the computer > reconnect the webcam > Computer > right click on the camera icon at the bottom of the window (scroll down if necessary)> Send To > Desktop (create shortcut) > double click on the new desktop webcam icon.

I would uninstall the driver and than reinstall, as well as unconnect the camera and reconnect (would try to reconnecting to a different usb port).

try to disconnect and reconnect it to a different USB port then uninstall and reinstall the driver for it and the webcam software you are using. you may also test if it works through testmycam.com web site which uses flash player to confirm the functionality of your webcam. just click I agree or allow on the prompt

Webcam software can remained hooked up to a previous program even if you exit that program correctly
You need to reboot the webcam software by unplugging it for a few seconds and then reconnect

Failing that, have a look on the Logitech Forum where software conflicts have been discussed
Launch the Logitech toolbar and click on the Help menu ( Question Mark icon)

hi you probably need to uninstall it disconnect it. reboot. and reinstall the driver that came with it. or if you dont have from here.

You driver must have been corrupted. Please reinstall your driver, if you don't have one, just search in the internet for free installer.

hi,
there are a number of reason for what your webcam might get disconnected .
1. If your net connecting is very slow. the chat (mostly seen in yahoo ) gets disconnected and as a result the webcam too stops broadcasting.
2. If your net disconnects and reconnects.
3. if you have a lose connection of the web cam with the computer.
next time it happens check out if the net connetcion is ok.

Are you connecting it directly to the computer, or through a USB hub?
