Muratec Copier Logo
Anonymous Posted on Apr 01, 2011

Dear Sirs/Madams, I have a Muratec MFX-1930 network multimachine (printer, scanner, copier, fax). Everything is working fine i can print, fax, copy and scan. My problem is the scanner scans to internal memory of the machine, what i want to do is make it scan to a network folder. But in order to do that as far as i can understand i need some sort of software which i can't find anywhere. Any help will be appreciated.

    Dear abp20,
Thank you for your fast reply. Yes my machine is connected via a Ehternet (RJ45) wire to my whole network. I can see the plug for the USB but never used it due to the fact that says on the side please install drivers first before using USB.

Well I have the CD which came along with the machine but on that CD as far as i can remeber there wasn't any software for scanning to folder there was only the drivers, for local printing, network printing, network scaning to scan box e.t.c. and all for the XP i am currently using Win7.

On the page you provided me above which one of the downloads is the software for scanning to a network folder ??

Thanking you once again for your patience and time.

    Kind Regards,
    Constantinos Philippides.

If your machine is connected through network cable, then you can scan to folder without needing any software called smb scan, but if your machine is connected through usb cable then you can only use twain software in order to scan. let me know how it is connected so i could help you fixing this issue.

Unless your machine is connected via ethernet cable.( NOT USB.!!) you will not be able to scan directly to a Network folder.
Anotherwords..you can scan to a Network folder if its an RJ45 cable but NOT if your using USB.
If you are using ethernet the machine should have come with the appropriate software...if you have lost it you can get it at www.muratec.com .
**If you are using USB...installing the Network software will NOT make it scan to folder.

Download the Officebridge driver cd for the 1350/1950. On Muratecs site it says it is Win7 compatible. ** I am still hoping that your machine has all the necessary hardware installed..( which you will not be able to see.) I am refering to the OB400 which is required for all this to work. If you are unsure you can call Muratec tech support at 1-800-359-7035.

Printing problem

You cannot use the "add-printer" wizard to install the 1430...unless you got the machine with the PCL Print option installed; the unit comes standard with only GDI printing.
For the GDI printer port to be created on your PC you must install the machine using the installation disc provided with the machine.

Scanner Driver not installed in Muratech MFX-1930

Muratec units cannot be installed via the ADD-PRINTER WIZARD.
They must be installed from the disc to create the Muratec GDI port.
If installed via the "add-printer wizard" reliability will at best be unreliable.

Muratec MFX- 1430 Printer

first of all, you can change the toner cartridge at any time. the roller below is probably the transfer roller, which can be cleaned. you may also want to consider that the drum cartridge could be the culprit.

since this is a multi function machine, make sure that the lines are not showing up when you print, or receive a fax. if the lines ONLY show when you copy, then clean the small **** glass under the document feeder, that should be the source.

MFX -2380 (Muratec) issue with net work printing

In network environments the muratec's usually have to have the setup disk run. They do not work on the standard TCP/IP port. The disk creates a muratec port for the pc to print to.

Problem scanning on MFX-1430

I am not sure why all scan to email is deleted, but you cant use scan-to-email or any of those scanning features using a USB anyways. Must be connected to the network

If connected by USB, you can download some twain scan utility (purchase one or download free one online) on your computer and install/set it up to use the Muratec as the scanner. Anytime you want to scan, open and use that utility.

Lines show on printed copies from Muratec MFX 2500

Probably a bad cleaning blade in the toner cartridge or a dirty charge wire.

Look for a small slider on top of the cartridge.
