One side dead

hi zm_16dec,

Right chanel fully dead , output transistor burnedout ,

Without knowing the make and model of your amplifier

all i can advise is to replace the unknown part number of

the transistor.

Look for the working left channel output transistors and

replace the bad transistors in "pair". These may include

other components but check on it as well.

Check the speaker system, especially where that channel

is connected.Inspect speaker wires or cable up to the speaker

itself.

Amplifier wont blow without reason. It could be from the wirings,

speaker or volume settings of the unit.

Thanks for choosing Fixya for assistance!

N-5552 microwave is how many watts

N-5552 does not exist but NN-5552 does.
There is a label on the back of the microwave that states the power output.
I have had a look on the web but cannot find the information you require, sorry.

HORIZONTAL TRANSISTOR BLOWOUT

If the "Chopper" transistor repeatedly "Blows" it is usually because the LOPTy (Line Output Transformer) is faulty, usually a short. OR a shorted Diode or Capacitor, in the driver or output.

Hello....

If you disconnect the speaker wires from the speaker terminals on the amp and the amp still goes into protect mode, the amp probably has shorted output transistors. If that's the case, the amp is probably not repairable. The outputs that Sony used were discontinued and there are no other transistors that will work properly (unless some of the newest transistors are compatible).

If it's under warranty, contact Sony. If it's out of warranty, contact one of the authorized Sony service centers to see if they can help. They may have a supply of NOS parts that would work.

Denon AVR-3105 Unit tries to come on but after a few seconds power LED flashes red. (Unit shuts down) I found transistors Q1015L and Q1035L in the output circuit shorted. However, replacing these...

Look for open resistors in the same area. Also, if the transistors that you replaced are the output transistors, you should replace their compliments as well. I don't have the service manual with me at the moment, so I'm juist giving you generalities. If you can, lift the center pin of the output transistors and measure (and post) the voltage readings on each of three pads for each transistor. That should give me enough info to guide you further.

Thanks,
Dan

NAD C350

Take a ohm meter and measure resistance from emiter to collector should have a few kilo ohm on output transistor.
If no ohm meter available , remove output transistors from circuit.
note position of transistor . you have a NPN and a PNP for each channel.
Replace fuse and power up. If fuse blows check bridge in the power supply.

80% of the time output transistor burn and blow the fuse.
before replacing output transistors check driver transistors they probably burnt also
