Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I had the same problem. I pressed the power button and the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds and then the home page showed up.

I've had the problem multiple times and i thought the only way to get it back to normal was to plug it into itunes, restore it, and then sync it but theres a faster way. You press the on/off button and the home button at the same time, holding for 15 seconds and it works.

My iTouch 8G 4th generation screen is black. It has a full battery charge and you can hear the sound when you touch the screen. I have done the power on hold down button solution (did not work) several times. It does sync with my itunes on my computer. Any solutions?

I would guess that you have a version bought around 1 or 2 years ago. That's actually normal, coz those versions tend to be a little slower. So here's what you gotta do. Get a good, working USB cable and plug your ipt to a computer. Leave it there to charge by itself for the longest time possible, i would say around 5 to 10 minutes. Eventually it will open on its own.
If that doesn't work, restore your device over at iTunes.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
