You need to remove the hard drive from your laptop and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter.
You need access to a computer that has Internet access then download and instal the Recuva program.

Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted from your iPod, or by bugs, crashes and viruses!
  • Put the memory card into an USB card reader and plug it into the USB port in your computer, then run the Recuva program.
  • Simple to use interface - just click 'Scan' and choose the files you want to recover
  • Easy to use filter for results based on file name/type
  • Simple Windows like interface with List and Tree view
  • Can be run from a USB thumb drive
  • Restores all types of files, office documents, images, video, music, email, anything.
  • Supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, NTFS5 , NTFS + EFS file systems
  • Restores files from removable media (SmartMedia, Secure Digital, MemoryStick, Digital cameras, Floppy disks, Jazz Disks, Sony Memory Sticks, Compact Flash cards, Smart Media Cards, Secure Digital Cards, etc.)
  • Restores files from external ZIP drives, Firewire and USB Hard drives
  • It's fast, tiny and takes seconds to run!
Go to these WEB sites to down Recuva http://download.cnet.com/Recuva/3000-2242_4-10753287.html www.filehippo.com/download_recuva
After installing this program plug the USB adapter and hard drive into the USB port of this computer and run the Recuva program on the USB hard drive to recover your files and backup your files.

You may need to reinstall Windows on your laptop after you install the hard drive back into the laptop.

I just open my new printer and upon start up installation i accidentally plug the usb ..it just had power then it immediately stop...

Go to Control Panel------> Add or Remove Programs------->
wait for it to load programs installed then scroll down and look for the printer software.

For example, if it is HP printer, look for H then remove Remove HP. It is arranged in alphabetically orders. Look for your printer's manufacturer.

Restart your computer, Unplug the USB then reinstall the software again.

My computer continues to say webcam not found

Receiving an error message when trying to access your webcam can be frustrating, but the problem can often be resolved by doing some basic troubleshooting.

  • If you have an external webcam, check to see if it has become accidentally unplugged from your computer.
  • Perhaps another program is using your webcam. Close other programs and try accessing your webcam again.
  • If another program has crashed for some reason, it might not have released your webcam successfully. Try closing all programs and restarting your computer.
  • If you have an external webcam, it might not have installed correctly. Try reinstalling your webcam software program according to the manufacturer's instructions. For more information, go to How do I reinstall my webcam?
  • Perhaps Yahoo! Messenger is using the incorrect camera device on your computer. Try changing the camera source. For more information, go to How do I change my camera source?
  • Your webcam might not be configured correctly. Try reconfiguring your webcam according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Your camera might not be not compatible with Yahoo! Messenger you can verify this by using the webcam compatibility test. To try the webcam compatibility test, go to How can I tell if my webcam will work withYahoo! Messenger?

Problem installing a genius VideoCam Messenger

Try restarting the computer with the device unplugged, and then when you are in Windows and everything has loaded, plug your Web Cam into a "different" USB port than you originally had it plugged into.

Now the drivers should install your device.

How do install my web cam

Dear first, make sure you follow the instructions from your camera manufacturer to ensure the proper installation of your camera.

This involves inserting the camera installation CD, being guided through a few steps for installation, and restarting your computer. Plugging in the camera's USB cord at the incorrect time during the camera software installation procedure can cause various problems.

To reinstall your webcam:

Uninstall any existing camera installations. Click "Start," "Settings," "Control Panel," and "Add/Remove Programs." From the list, choose your webcam software and click Remove.

Unplug the camera's USB cord from the computer.

Reboot your computer.

Insert your camera's setup/installation CD.
Follow the instructions described by the camera setup program, and plug in your camera only when prompted. This is usually done after restarting your computer.

Best regard.
