LOL. Sorry, I just had to laugh at that question. The video card is a physical computer chip, not a software download.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Volume adjustment

its more than that i think you have either turned your speakers a/b off or have blown up the sound valve i would send it in for checking by a ppro as no adjustment would be needed to get at least some sound

Pioneer audio receiver pre-amp output

It is possible then that the root cause may not be electrical, but acoustic if you're noticing the issue from your listening position.
If you can run a channel test signal identically one channel at a time by positioning your meter less than a foot away and exactly the same distance with each speaker and the level differs by more than 1/2dB, then it's not the acoustics.

You may want to check your power supply and make sure that it meets the requirements for your system, a lack of sufficient power can ofter cause a computer to restart or freeze.

Your card uses 15 dBm ± 2dB

If this is a laptop, make sure to plug in the machine as power is limited while your laptop is unplugged.

If you've done all the math and the power supply isn't the problem, you may wish to try your card in another pc. If the card doesn't take in either machine, you should contact d-link and ask for a replacement.

Yamaha RX-V1400 receiver powers off, in case it becomes louder

Hey, yeah that can be frustrating.

When you turn it up do you hear the relay or a clicking sound, then you turn it on and it comes back below the +2db?

Try unplugging All the speaker wires from the unit. Turn on the unit and listen for the click.
after the click, turn it up past the 2+ db mark and see if you hear it click or shut down. If it did not click off, then suspect a shorted crossover on one of your speakers.
2nd test is to plug in One speaker, and test it at high volume, it will not harm it. If it shuts off disconnect that speaker and try another. Only one at a time.
If it works at high volume, you need to isolate one of your speakers and i bet it has a shorted crossover that has been cooked. P.S. If one is bad, suspect they will fail at a later date.
If they all fail, use a friends speaker and try it before sending it to a repair shop.

P.S. i found one on ebay i think you can get for under $100 bucks in the box.
