You have to open the casing of your system unit. Then your motherboard brand and model and printed on your motherboard. In some cases the brand and model are covered by some of the computer components. The motherboard brands are the asus, intel, jetway, gigabyte, msi, redfax, emaxx, biostar, foxconn, epox and etc. So after searching the brand the next part is the model, it's usually printed white bold letters and it's very noticeable to find the model of the motherboard. You may search it on the internet to confirm the brand and the model of the motherboard. Have a nice day.

Want to download vga driver

It would be helpful if you'd give more information, like what make and model computer you have, or the brand and model of motherboard, or the brand and model video card if you are using one instead of the video integrated onto the motherboard. It's impossible to give any detailed answer without the basic information.

In general, you can download drivers from the appropriate website. For name-brand computers (Dell, HP/Compaq, etc.) you should go to the manufacturer's site and follow their "drivers and downloads" or "support" links. They often get custom versions of motherboard hardware, and the drivers you need may be different from those used on retail versions of the motherboard. If you have a custom-built or home-built computer using a retail motherboard, you'll find the drivers at the motherboard manufacturer's site. The same is true if your system uses a separate video card. You'll find the drivers at that company's site.

I m having amd sempron(tm) 140 processor. does this configuration supports 500gb harddisk?

The processor is not the issue.. The mother board bios is what decides if it can handle certain HD.

You need the MB brand, Model, and BIOS version, to know for sure.. boot pc hit pause button to freeze the screen as soon as it lites up, should display bios version number. Enter to resume. Goes very quick. Power off and on before windows starts to repeat process till you get it.

It IS very likely that it will work however..

Hi,
A branded computer uses Original Equpment Manufacturer (OEM) version of Operating System, hence if you change any hardware it will go to the trial version of OS automatically. Hence, you have to use the full system recovery disk to reinstall the OS.
Thanks and regards,

Harddrive

Hi, Looks like it will be a motherboard issue not Maxtor (ATA) and Barracuda (SATA) combination. So the question really would be if your motherboard would accept and recognize the Barracuda SATA. Post back with your motherboard details, (brand/model/version). Kind regards.
